The Hompow Google TV Projector has been a great choice for indoor streaming and casual gaming. I've been using an Epson Home Cinema 1080 as my primary screen for a few years, displayed on a 100" projector screen in my basement. The Epson is an excellent projector, but it lacks any built-in apps, so it requires connecting with a streaming stick or game console to be useful. I was in the market for a more modern projector with native apps. The Hompow has been an excellent replacement. Setup was quick - literally plug and play once you remove the bulb cover. The built-in Google TV interface provides easy access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, etc., without any external devices needed. It even supports Google Cast, so I can stream straight from my phone. Personally, I like the app selection hard-wired into the remote - I don't think I've ever used the ESPN+ or Roku Channel options on my (admittedly old) Roku stick, so replacing them with Prime Video and Disney+ has been far more useful to me. The image is sharp and bright on my 100" screen, even with some ambient light. It handles HD streaming well, and while the built-in apps don’t support native 4K playback, 4K content plays smoothly over HDMI from my PS5. I haven't experienced any latency issues, acknowledging the fastest-pace game I'm playing is COD MW (2019). The built-in speakers are better than expected—clear and loud enough for my makeshift basement living room. The included video clip gives a preview of the sound quality, standing a couple of feet away from the projector. Bluetooth connectivity is available if you want to upgrade the audio, which is probably a good idea if you're already dropping a few hundred dollars on the projector, but it’s not essential. The projector includes a standard tripod mount, which adds a lot of flexibility. I use (and recommend) the Sensyne 64" Camera Tripod—it’s sturdy, adjustable, and makes setup quick and easy without needing to mount to a wall or ceiling. There are a few small drawbacks: the interface is a bit slow when switching or loading apps, the zoom feature has a limited range, and the power cord is short, so you’ll probably need an extension cord. To be fair, the power cord issue has been true with other projectors I’ve used, including Epson models, so I can't fault this particular projector. Overall, the Hompow projector is a strong option for a home theater/casual gaming setup. The current sale price ($240) is honestly a steal, but I still would've been a happy customer had I paid the full $300.

I recently picked up the Hompow Google TV 4K Projector, and honestly, it completely blew away my expectations of what a home projector can do. Even though it’s a native 1080p projector, the 4K support makes everything look crisp, vibrant, and cinematic. The picture quality was impressive — super sharp and vivid, even in daylight with the curtains partially drawn. Most projectors struggle in bright rooms, but this one held its own. I even used it outside in the backyard with a portable screen, and it gave us an awesome outdoor movie night the whole family enjoyed. Setting it up was incredibly simple. Just plug it in, connect to WiFi, and the Google TV interface was ready almost instantly. I was streaming YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video within minutes. Voice navigation with Google Assistant was smooth and easy, and the remote felt high-end and responsive. One of the standout features is the built-in Bluetooth 5.0. I connected it to a Bluetooth speaker, and the sound instantly felt more immersive. That said, the built-in speaker actually does a decent job too, especially in smaller rooms or outside in the evening. What really impressed me was how compact and flexible it is. It works great whether you’re using it in the bedroom, living room, or outdoors. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and feels very solid for the price. Bottom line: this projector is a serious win. You get smart features, 4K playback, great visuals, and a smooth user experience — all without breaking the bank. Easily one of my favorite tech buys this year. 5 stars all the wayyy!

I wasn’t sure what to expect for the price, but this HOMPOW projector has really impressed me. Setup was super easy literally just plugged it in, signed into my Google account, and I was streaming Netflix right away. Love that it’s officially licensed, so I don’t have to deal with workarounds to watch my shows. Picture quality is way better than I thought it would be for a 1080p projector. It’s sharp, colors look nice, and it even handles 4K input without any problems. We’ve been using it for movie nights in the living room and out on the patio, and it feels like having a mini movie theater at home. The built-in speaker is okay for casual watching, but I connected it to my Bluetooth speaker, and it completely upgraded the experience. WiFi works well streaming is smooth with no lag and Bluetooth paired instantly with my speaker. It’s not perfect. Brightness is fine indoors or at night, but during the day you’ll need curtains or shade outside. The fan makes some noise, but honestly, once the movie starts I don’t notice it much. Also, you have to manually adjust focus and keystone, which isn’t a big deal but would be nice if it was automatic. To start using it, you have to have gmail account otherwise it we not work. Overall, for the price, this thing is awesome. Compact, easy to use, works with all my apps, and the picture looks great. If you want a big screen without spending a fortune, this is a great projector.

Brightness is better than expected for a compact projector — it holds up well for evening viewing and casual daytime use with curtains drawn. I also appreciate how quiet the fan is. It’s noticeable if the room is completely silent, but once audio is playing, it fades into the background and isn’t distracting. The Experience As a first-time projector owner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have never been more impressed. We’ve used it at home for a month now, and it has completely transformed our space. My children love it so much they’ve dubbed it our "new cartoon cinema"—it’s officially replaced our standard TV for family time. Picture & Sound Quality I am genuinely shocked by the video quality. The picture is incredibly clear and vibrant, even on a plain wall. Whether we're watching bright animated movies or darker action scenes, the Contrast Ratio holds up beautifully. I was also prepared to buy external speakers, but I haven't needed to; the built-in audio is amazing and easily fills the room with rich, cinematic sound. At first, I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but after using this projector, I can confidently say I’m starting to really like their products.
