I love setting a schedule and knowing the heat will go up before I have to get out of bed! I was gone 2 months and was able to manage temp from the road. Just have to be sure it knows you're away or the schedule will override Eco. I use Nest with Google Home and it works great.

    • Not compatible with system, despite the fact google claims it is
I've owned four homes and replaced thermostats in each one. The installation of the nest looks easy enough - and it is - except for the fact the Nest, and Nest E thermostats are not compatible with our heat pump system even though Google's compatibility tool claims both will work. I returned the Nest when it failed, bought the Nest E, and now that model has failed. I have spent several hours reading troubleshooting tips, watching videos, and trying all the advice given, without success, an now I'm done. I'm returning the Nest E and will try the next level - Gen 3 learning thermostat.. ... show more

I can’t get Alexa to work much less integration with the thermostats. I have 3 Nest thermostats and they are doing fine. I had a few problems installing the first 2 but the used one went smoothly.

'Renewed'? More like 'Repackaged'.... I noticed when I first turned it on that the glass seemed to have a crack on the inside as the outside surface was smooth. I thought "meh, it works", but then it wouldn't let me setup wi-fi because the internal battery was too low, and still is after 6 hours... lastly when you walk by it doesnt auto illuminate. I have the hvac systems in my house and installed a new nest on the other system immediately after and had none of these issues. This goes to show that buying a 'renewed' nest is not a good idea. ... show more

Not happy with the product bra cause of what I paid for and the box looks like it’s been returned already even the guy that installed the product said it had been use you sold it to me like new hopefully it works I’m not returning it because I couldn’t wait any longer in returning this one to order another one.
