We managed to get it installed then pay an HVAC pro $200 to come and test it and ensure that it was charged correctly. I installed one 18k BTU unit for a 500 sf ADU with high ceilings. I installed 2 of these units in my shop and I wish I had done it years ago. They are VERY quiet inside and out. They are made by Daikin and they are very high quality units. Cools off my 1500 SF shop in no time!

This unit arrived missing an entire box and amazon.com was unable to assist. They referred me to the unit manufacturer. The manufacturer does not make the installation kit. I had an hvac contractor come begin the installation and now will have to pay for the missing parts and returned visit. Horrible service and missing parts.

We ordered 3 units in September. Two of the units worked great. The third unit has given trouble from the beginning. First, the condensation line leaked inside. Next, after working for a few weeks, it stopped working. A tiny connector inside unit came apart. Now the unit has completely stopped working. Our installer talked with Daikin about replacing unit. Of course, they will not replace so a new compressor has to be ordered for a unit which worked for less than 8 weeks.
