  • Fits Quest 1 😀
Compatible with Quest 1! Box says Quest 2 but It fits perfectly on Quest 1! It’s comfortable to wear & stable. Exactly what we needed! For Quest 1, remove two foam stickers.

  • Can definitely fit Quest 1, just requires a *minor* removal.
The media could not be loaded. Just received the halo strap like, 10 minutes ago. I was scared about buying it, because I have a first gen Oculus Quest (Quest 1 in case anyone tries searching for reviews about it like I did), but after seeing ONE review, I decided it was worth the risk. Just now, right after I received it, after taking off the original headstrap with a lot of effort from my Quest 1, it *almost* slid on perfectly. The only issue was the rails. If you look on the parts that slide onto the siderails on the strap, you'll find this bit of grey foam padding that is meant for the Quest 2 to snugly fit into, but makes the opening too thick for a Quest 1. After taking a grand total of five seconds to rip it off (which was pretty clean since it was merely stuck on there since the back it is sticky), it slid onto the Quest 1 like a glove. As for how well it holds onto my head, there's a LOT of parts that move on this now that should make it easy to accomdate pretty much any adult (or [pre-]teenager with a decently sized head, so as of right now, 5 stars! Now for Beat Saber.... Edit: Definitely holds. The parts that slide onto the old rails do slip occasionally, and so the fit sometimes isn’t the same, but it’s just a matter of realizing you need to slide them up again. It definitely takes a lot of the weight of the front of my face and evenly displaced the weight across my head instead. Beat Saber, Blade and Sorcery, as well as VRChat rooms all couldn’t rip this thing off my face. All in all, satisfactory purchase. ... show more

  • Kiddo asked for this product
I bought one halo a year or so ago for the one VR unit my two grandsons got for Christmas. I didn't like the way the strap that came with it made the unit sit on their faces. They thought this halo was the greatest thing ever! It holds the unit so that it does not put so much pressure on their faces. Anyway, fast forward to their dad bought another VR unit recently, so they would each have one. The first thing out of Bohdi's mouth when I got to their house was "We are going to need you to get another halo". A request, but it left little room for misunderstanding. Because I am a thoughtful grandmother and the whole thing was a birthday present, I got the second halo. It is just as much of a success as the first one. These halo straps are very well adjustable, they take the pressure off the wearer's face, and reduce the heat of having the VR unit on. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • comfy but..
The finished product felt very good but the installation with the quest 1 was very hard, the instructions were unclear but I found my own way at the end. Very comfy but back adjust wheel didnt allow me to lay down and use the quest.

  • Perfect fit
This was a perfect fit for our Oculus. We have what is probably the first one... So, its hard to find parts to fit now. This fit perfectly. I plan on purchasing another one to have handy.

  • Good quality strap, but not ideal for someone with sinus pressure issues or TMD
I'm giving this 4 stars because it seems like it's built well and would be perfect for the average person, but I have unusual needs for headset comfort and it isn't working that well for me. I just wanted to write this review to inform anyone else with TMD and/or sinus issues that's considering buying this. I have horrible sinus problems and with the original oculus strap, the headset pushed on my sinuses and made them ridiculously inflamed to the point I felt like I had a cold. I figured out that a heavy counterweight, along with angling the headset so it didn't press on my sinuses solved that, but the counterweight always felt weird in the back of my head and it made the straps push into my forehead and the top of my head which sucked. This solves the issue with my forehead and top of my head completely. But I realized that I couldn't get the pressure off my sinuses with it unless I added the counterweight, which blocks my ability to adjust the tightness so it's really hard to find the right settings. I also have TMD and get pain from a lot or pressure against my temples, so I've always had to wear my headset looser than is considered ideal. I actually had no issue with the original headset staying secure (and I play intense games where I jump around a lot) but I'm having a really hard time with this one. I think that the standard strap style that goes across your head works better for keeping the headset secure without making it super tight. The halo style reduces pressure on my forehead and the top of my head, but unfortunately because it sits so high I can't get it secure without tightening it to the point it hurts my jaw. So I wouldn't recommend this (or any halo style strap, most likely) if you need to keep your headset on the looser side. ... show more

  • The Black Screen of Death LOL
So here is my journey. First: I am a new Oculus Quest 2 owner got it this past Christmas (2022) from my son and his 2 cousins. Just purchased the handles April 12th 2023.Second: it started out simple and easy removing the original game headset strap. Third: putting the new one on was just as simple. I just followed the video that was provided with the product on Amazon. Last: now here comes the issue I press the power button to see how the strap would handle but my Oculus headset screen would not come on to save my life. And there is was the Black Screen of Death. LOL Unknown to me it needed a hard reboot (which means you have to hold the power button for atleast 10 seconds and walla I got my screen back) LOL Not sure if this happen because of removing the original strap, but just a FYI if this happens to you. ... show more

  • Broke after a few months of usage.
After probably about 4 months one side of this snapped and made the strap unusable. I wouldn’t recommend it for long time use.
