  • Excellent Tracking
Style: Tracker 3
Excellent product. I've used these for nearly two years now and they're still going strong. The tracking is accurate, the batteries still maintain an excellent charge, and they continue to be one of the best uninvasive ways of using full body tracking in VR.

  • Pretty expensive, but worth it for the experience with both the Oculus Rift CV1 and Valve Index!
Style: Tracker 2018
These, albeit pretty expensive and maybe a bit overpriced, were more than worth the money I spent to be able to use them for the experience that they add. While there's not many games that support them, I primarily got 3 of these to be able to use in VRChat for full-body tracking with hip and foot tracking, along with some straps to do so. And wow, I got them with low expectations due to trying a mixed setup of Oculus Rift gear with them, but it's amazing how accurate they actually are. Since I do use an Oculus Rift CV1 as my HMD along with their controllers since I prefer them over the HTC Vive, I did have to buy the HTC Vive Lighthouses separately to be able to use these since Oculus doesn't have their own trackers which added onto the cost a good bit, but I don't regret doing so. The setup for them was very easy through SteamVR, although there is a few extra steps if you use an Oculus HMD and Controllers to get them calibrated in the same space as the Oculus gear, but there are many guides to help with it that will get them working together in no time perfectly! But, if you'd prefer less hassle and ease of use, just use them with an HTC Vive. Also, if you do happen to use an Oculus Rift like me, don’t make the same mistake I did and make sure you have at least 6 free USB ports if you plan on using 3 trackers given you need a port for each tracker, the sensors, and the HMD. I can’t say for sure how many for Vive users but keep in mind that each tracker takes up a USB port as the included dongle with each one needs to be plugged in to one. *Edit for Oculus users: If you do happen to use these trackers with an Oculus Rift, do keep in mind that there is some interference that can vary whenever the Oculus Touch controllers are held close to the trackers. I hardly get any interference and near perfect tracking, but I know others who get bad interference for some reason even with the 2018 trackers which cause less interference, but it could also depend on lighthouse sensor positioning. Also, if you do happen to touch one of the trackers with an Oculus Touch controller while using them, there is a chance your tracker could ping off in a random direction in virtual space for a few seconds and then shortly after go back to normal, but for me it rarely ever happens. Just a heads up! *Edit 11/23/2019 for Valve Index users: I upgraded to the Valve Index about two months ago so I thought I might as well go ahead and share my experience using them with that HMD. With the Valve Index, just like with the HTC Vive, it required no setup other than plugging in the dongles and connecting them as a new controller in SteamVR to get them working, it was basically plug and play. These do definitely work a lot better when using them with an HMD that also uses the base stations/lighthouses for tracking since there's no hassle or worry to it. But, I still really enjoyed my mostly flawless experience using them with my Oculus Rift CV1 even if it did take quite a bit of setup to get them working and I would still heavily recommend them for use with it. With a bit of research, I also learned that the trackers can be used similarly with any other VR headset just like the Oculus Rift CV1, so even if you don't own that HMD and own something like a Windows Mixed Reality or Rift S/Quest, you can use the same method for those! ... show more

  • Amazing tracking and battery life!
Style: Tracker 3
I have been using Vive's 2.0 trackers for years, and upgrading to 3.0s was such a worthwhile upgrade. The battery life is much more reasonable for longer play sessions, and sometimes I didn't even need to charge it to play again! They are much smaller and all the promised features like battery life, size, and weight are true. This tracker is so much better than my previous 2.0 trackers. Very worthwhile upgrade, and a good tracker if you have base stations already. Keep in mind you need base stations to use these, so do not purchase alone thinking it will work with your headset out of the box! ... show more

  • Lightweight and Long Battery Life!
Style: Tracker 3
I went from the 2.0 HTC Vive Trackers, to these bad boys, and they are SUCH an improvement. I no longer need battery packs for my extended hours of use, unless I want to extend past the already lengthy use time. I was delighted to find out that the ports were Type - C as well! Great improvement from Micro-USB. The size of them absolutely shocked me, as they were so small, and track perfectly! Definitely going to get more to add more tracking points to my virtual experience. :D ... show more

  • This is one of the best trackers for Vrchat!
Style: Tracker 2018
I personally bought these to use in a game called VRchat. I use them all the time and i would say i would get them again if i ever needed to. Durability: I have smashed these all over my house and i think you really have to try to break them. 8/10 Fun: seeing your legs move while in vr adds to the realism of being there and will blow you away. 10/10 Ease of Use: Easy to use and look up guide for but it is as simple as clicking one button. 8/10 Overall: 9/10 I would say get it if you want to see your legs in some Vrgames! ... show more

  • Expensive but fun
Style: Tracker 2018
I recently purchased 3 of these for full body tracking. For what you get, these are just some little plastic pucks and not worth $99 a piece. Honestly, not even worth the price if they gave you three for $99. Seriously, there isn't much to these trackers and probably cost them maybe $10 a piece to produce, if that. Now, that said, the experience is absolutely worth the price. Being able to go into VR with full body presence is just something else. Not too many games support it, but the ones that do completely changes how you play. Pros: 1. After the initial pairing and update of firmware, they connect quickly and consistently. 2. I can't really think of any specific pros. They work. You kinda forget about the trackers and just get immersed in the game. Cons: 1. Charging is on the slow side. I'm used to the Index controllers having fast charging, so using these included USB 2.0 cables to charge can be fairly slow in comparison. 2. Battery life could be better. 3. This one isn't really a con, but it does make me question the QC on these devices. 1 of the trackers I got has a yellow charging light, instead of a orange light. Not a problem really, but it is a bit of an eye sore when they are charging to see that on tracker with the wrong colored light. Overall, I won't fault it for the one with the wrong colored charging light, but I will ding it one star because of the slow charging and battery life. I honestly can't wait to see what the next thing in VR tech will be for full body tracking. ... show more
