I had ordered some frames from Michaels, and they did a really poor job packing them, and two of the tree I ordered arrived damaged. I needed them to frame some artwork for an upcoming art show. One of the damaged frames was unrepairable, and the art show dropoff was in two days. I found this frame on Amazon, and I thought it would be especially good because it was solid wood, and I needed to attach d-rings for wire hanging to it. It was also one of the only affordable frames I could find with actual glass and not plexiglass. But, I was worried because this frame would be the one I had to use for my artwork whether I liked it or not because time was running out and there are no frame stores anywhere near me. Well, I was super happy with this frame when it arrived. First, it was really well packaged and there was no damage to the glass or the wood frame. The frame was indeed solid woods and the mitered joints matched up perfectly and seamlessly. I was able to attach the D-rings no problem, put in my matted artwork, and secure the also sturdy frame back. My art looks great. Have purchased Golden State Art frames before in another size. The 8 x 10 with mat will be good to display a 5 x 7 photo on the tabletop. I like the size of the wood frame around the photo/mat, as it is not too wide and not too narrow. My only complaint was a half-inch chip on one edge of the frame but I will use that side down, and it will not show. Otherwise, it was packed well, so must have been a weak piece of wood that chipped off. ... show more
