A must have if you want to save the grips you are removing. Just get the end inserted just enough to put a few drops of solvent down the grip and spin the club in a circle while pushing down. Keep repeating until you reach the bottom. Very easy.

I figured I would try this style of grip removal tool, as I wanted to remove and re-install a couple of oversize Flat Cat putter grips, which are thick and very stiff. Took a little more effort than I was expecting, but with patience and frequent addition of mineral spirits the grips came off in good shape for the reinstall. I highly recommend using this tool, as opposed to trying to make a homemade version. There is way more stiffness and resistance to twisting with the Golf Works tool than you could get with any homemade version, and this is essential to help you work the end of the tool deeper and deeper into the grip. I would expect it to work flawlessly on normal club grips that are worth saving. Highly recommended. ... show more

I am a novice at regripping my golf clubs and made some mistakes my first time around. So, I ordered this tool, after reading some of the other reviews, in order to correct my mistakes (which will remain unknown). I was able to successfully remove the grips from 4 clubs using this tool. The grove makes it possible to get lots of solvent under the grip, which made it much easier to remove my grips, successfully! It was worth the cost of the tool, as I did not destroy my grips trying to get them off. I more than saved the amount of replacing 4 grips with the cost of one tool. I’ve used it a couple of times and am very pleased with the outcomes. It’s easy to insert it and with a little bit of muscle and fluid, got the grip off in no time at all. Great tool and must have for all serious golfers that like to tinker with their grips.

Was skeptical for the price but the tool is very effective and made regripping much easier. Nice to be able to repurpose grips that have some life left in them. If not for primary set of clubs, enabled me to reuse some grips on older practice clubs.
