Haven't put the camper on the truck yet, but it seems to be working just fine. Having a 2" leveling kit on my 2012 F150, this was a must to get back to level when pulling my 28' travel trailer. Installation was fairly easy, and the directions were ok. You can also find video's online showing you how to install, which were a big help. I found the hardest part of the install was the bolts going into the side of the frame. The kit comes with these little square "paddles" that you have to insert thru a small hole in the inner part of the frame. These "paddles" have a threaded hole thru the center that you have to screw the bolt into. The are basically the nut for the bolt, only in a large square with a handle. The best tip from the online video I found is a must: BEND THE PADDLE HANDLE BEFORE YOU TRY PUTTING IT IN THE FRAME! You stand a chance at losing the paddle inside your frame if you don't! Plus, tho it is possible to install this by yourself (passenger side of my truck was much easier due to no brake lines in the way), it is a good idea to have someone help you. In particular, for those of you doing this on your backs in your driveway like I did. Those bolts thru the side of the frame were a real pain! Unless you really need side to side leveling, go out and grab yourself a 1/4" OD "T". I am not positive where to buy the "gator bite" type fitting like as used in the kit, as my dad grabbed me some from his work. A regular compression fitting should work as well since that is what I have used on a previous vehicle I owned that had air shocks on it. I have yet to mount my valve stem, as I am not sure where I want it yet, tho I have seen a couple great ideas. One of the best, was to drill out the hole thru one of your lower license plate mount holes, or I suppose thru each if you don't want to join the lines with a "T" fitting. I still need to check if there is room next to the fuel fill tube, as I believe hiding the valve stem behind the fuel door would be best. ... show more

nice kit - install wasn't too bad either - other than the backing plates that go inside the frame rails, but once you do one you'll figure out that it's not impossible, the other ones go quickly. I hauled about a ton of pavers in my 2012 f150 SC, the forklift let off and down the back of my truck went ... no problem, hooked up my compressor and back up it went - so much safer to drive leveled out. I did add the tee fitting to join both sides together (should be included in the kit), and at some point will probably plumb an air gauge into the cab so I can monitor the pressure in the bags more easily while towing or hauling. When empty, I keep 10psi in them (supposed to keep at least 5 psi). ride is fine ... show more

    • A bit pricey, but parts are of high quality.
I added these to my F150 as I sometimes tow a small travel trailer and load the bed of the truck with other gear and the stock suspension sags just enough to warrant these. Installation is breeze on the passenger side (side shown in a YouTube video by a supplier). I started on the drivers side and installation of one of the brackets was made considerably more difficult by the fuel tank and brake lines. After installation I found it stiffens the ride noticeably even though I have only 6-7 lbs in the bags. Manufacturer recommends a minimum of 5 lbs on a empty load. Parts are heavy duty and well made. Installation is pretty straight forward with basic hand tools. Looking forward to our next trip to test them out with a load on truck. ... show more

I installed these on a 2009 2WD F150 crew cab to prevent rear suspension sag while towing a 30' travel trailer/toy hauler. The air suspension works great, corrected the rear truck ride height and was fairly easy to install. the system can hold up to 100 psi but works well for our needs when set at 35-40 psi range. The air bags also give me the advantage to raise the tongue height which lowers the back of the toy hauler to make loading a motorcycle easier with the gate is down making it more level with the back of the camper floor. The only two complaints i have and why I didn't give it a five star rating is the quick connect air brake fittings that are included tend to leak air after they get some age on them, i recommend using the brass compression type 1/4" X 1/4" 90 degree dot fittings at the air bags instead but was unable to find a compression type for the tire valve stem for filling or venting the air pressure. The other thing is the the rear of the truck rides to high when there is no load and the system is set to the minimum pressure of 5 psi. ... show more

    • Pretty simple.
I put this on my 2012 F150 in about 3 hours (children were involved). Went into place with no drilling or cutting. Works easily and efficiently. I may upgrade with the compressor kit in the future but it seems to me the less you have going on the less can go wrong. I'm happy so far and will update if things change. UPDATE: I've had these installed a month or two now so I thought an update would be warranted. The main reason I put these on my truck is that I pull a 5000lbs camper trailer. Before these helper springs were installed the camper would really sag the rear suspension causing premature wear and tear. These helper springs eliminate 100% of that sag and protect against costly repairs. I have had no leaks or other drama as some others have reported. You do have to keep 5lbs of pressure in springs minimum to protect them. This stiffens the rear suspension an almost unnoticeable amount. I stand by my original rating. ... show more
