I bought this to use at the gym and I absolutely love it. I find having my phone in my pocket distracting and I tend to pull it out and get side tracked easier. It doesn’t help that I use my phone to track my lifts. So with this I can attach it to my machine and because of the placement it’s just convenient enough to log the lift, but not comfortable enough to allow myself to get distracted on my phone. The back of my phone case has a magnet built in for a host of reasons. As a result, I’ve used it to mount in my car or even to a metal pole while in the field with the Army. So I know my phone case’s magnet is strong! So is this golf cart magnet. Granted, it comes with a magnet you can attach to the back of your phone, which is strong too, but this holder work with other magnets too. Keep in mind, on a golf cart you’ll hit bumps and the more severe ones will knock it off, but you probably should be in an ATV at that point. So for the average golf cart use this holder is great.

I fly a paramotor (see my username on YouTube) and have an iPhone. When I fly I use my iPhone for navigation, communication, and being made aware of other air traffic, using ADS-B, so I don't crash into them! And also to play music. :-) I know this was for a golf cart, but it is the perfect size, shape, and thickness to hold my iPhone to the velcro pad, called a flight deck, that sits in front of me while I fly. The velcro just lets you easily reconfigure the things that sit in front of you. And since you're flying, you want to make sure that the things you put there stay in place while the wind is whipping through at 25-30mph! While I also have a tether on my phone so I won't lose it at 5,000 feet, this holder perfectly lines up with the MagSafe magnets built into my iPhone and my MagSafe case. It clicks in, stays in place, is lightweight, thin, does the job, and prevents me from having to put velcro on my phone! I'm not sure it would hold onto my phone while mounted to a golf cart that was ... being driven in a FUN, er, irresponsible manner, launching into ditches and doing full burnouts. But I'm sure it would hold onto the phone well enough for your normal, average, considerate, thoughtful golf cart operator. :-) Know your limits! I'm really happy with this. It also came with a metal ring in case your phone doesn't do MagSafe natively, so you can use it with phones or other things other than an iPhone! It's worth it if you have a use for a flat MagSafe mount that just does exactly what it says.

This one is different than most in that it is just a flat phone holder thus there is no arm to give leverage making the phone fall off if you hit a pothole. Good strong magnets.

This is a really great magnetic phone holder. It’s basically a flat magnet that sticks and hold to any metal and your iPhone and will then attach magnetically to the magnet in your later model iPhone. This magnet is SUPER strong. I use it on my golf cart, but you can use it on ANY metal surface. Super compact and super strong. I highly recommend this magnetic holder for attaching your iPhone anywhere!
