The last water shoe I bought was 16yrs ago. They looked the same as the ones my mom got me 20yrs before that. Nerdy, un-stylish and lame. I was about to go on vacation this year, saw these and was intrigued. First off, this seller was one of the couple that offered this in my size (I wear a 15 in shoes). I tried it on and literally fits like a sock but with a solkd rubber bottom. We went swimming in Key West and they stayed on in the water. They didn't rub my heel. I like them so much wore them around Key West like shoes. Furthermore, on long trips in the semi I kick off my steel toes and drive with these on.

After discovering this type footwear, I have purchased several pairs of this type of footwear from various vendors. I like to be barefoot often. This type of footwear allows the same feeling while offer some protection. Footwear like this is much better to wear than flip flops or sandals. These protect the foot from dirt, offer extreme flexibility, great traction, the material breathes well and they are much safer than flip flops or most sandals as these fit securely to the foot at all time without restricting movement. I highly recommend these for everyday use by everyone, men and women, especially children. The common footwear that is worn today often restricts the flexibility of the foot and actually, over time, can cause atrophy of joints and muscles and can encourage deformities. As words can not convey or convince, I can only suggest that any interested party should obtain a pair and try them out. BTW, this type of footwear is excellent for travel by car or air and on cruise ships. Plus you can toss these in with our laundry to keep them clean. They are also great for gardening in your backyard as they provide excellent balance on uneven surfaces. Note: I do not recommend them to be worn when using power equipment or anytime that appropriate protective footwear should be worn.

Just received mine, about 3/4" too short, not the Size 14 I always wear and fit perfectly into. I'd say it's closer to a Size 12. I'm 12" from tip of toe to back of heel and the sole of this thing is the same 12". So, my toenail pushes the fabric out and not only is too tight in that respect, but will also chafe and wear through from contact with what shoes come into contact with, as well as toenail wear from the pressure. I will probably be returning these. The ONLY advantage is that the too-snugginess makes it easier to slip my covered feet into and out of straps and other gear. That's the trade-off.

Let me start by saying that purchasing IceUnicorn Water Shoes was possibly the worst decision I've made since trying to cook spaghetti in a toaster. If you enjoy the sensation of squishing your toes into soggy socks filled with regret, then congratulations, you've found your soulmate in footwear. Firstly, let's talk about the aesthetic. These shoes make Crocs look like high fashion. If you want to look like you raided a lost and found bin at the community swimming pool, then these bad boys are for you. The colors are about as appealing as a traffic cone and the design screams "I gave up on life before even stepping into the water." Now, let's address the functionality, or rather, the lack thereof. These shoes promise to be quick-drying, but I'm convinced they were designed by someone who has never encountered water before. After a mere splash, these things become soggier than a sponge in a monsoon. Oh, and good luck trying to walk in them without feeling like you've strapped on two blocks of ice to your feet. I've had warmer experiences sticking my toes into a snowbank. But wait, there's more! Not only are these shoes about as effective as wearing cheese graters on your feet, but they also come with a delightful bonus feature: blisters! The seams feel like they've been stitched together with tiny razor blades, ensuring that every step is a painful reminder of your poor life choices. And let's not forget the delightful aroma that emanates from these shoes after a day of wear. If the scent of a landfill mixed with wet dog is your idea of an aphrodisiac, then you're in for a treat. These water shoes are wonderful! I just had the opportunity to try them at the health club. The problem that these shoes address was twofold. First, I'm 69 years old and sometimes I am not quite that sure of my balance. The floors at the health club are tile and are sometimes quite wet which makes them quite slippery. I am terribly afraid of slipping and the rubber of these shoes gives me a high level of assurance that I will not slip and fall. And then I found another anticipated benefit. . .We have been experiencing very hot temperatures outside at the pool. Wearing the shoes protects my feet from the scorching heat of the concrete around the pool. What a pleasure to wear in and around the water. I wear a 10.5 medium so I ordered the size10.5 to 11. At first I thought that these would be too small but after trying them on, I determined that the fit was exact. They also seemed to be of high quality. In short, I really like these water shoes and am glad that I ordered them.
