  • Seems to be accurate, and well made
Came nicely packaged, in some foam. Took only a minute to assemble the 6 screws. The two pieces were self aligning, and after snugging up the screws, I checked it for square against my other much pricier squares. It was dead accurate, so I would expect it to stay that way. The line markings were also accurate against my other tools. I don't tend to use the scribe lines, so I can't comment on those as of now. The tool is light weight, much lighter weight than I would have thought, but that's not a bad thing. It feels sturdy. The finish is good but not nearly as polished feeling as my more expensive brand tools... But this tool costs less than 1/3 the price, so I think that is a fair compromise. For the price I think it's a worthy of purchasing if in need of a 32" T square. ... show more

  • Solidly Made, High Visibility
This is a well made, solid T-Square. It is on the expensive side, but it contains many great features all in one unit. Pros: 1. Six fasteners holding the T head to the ruler (similar units have 4). Plus two locating dimples, unit was very sturdy when assembled. 2. High contrast white markings on black aluminum. Very easy to see 3. 1/32" holes along the entire length of ruler for super easy marking 4. Good ruler thickness keeps tool rigid, and easy to handle without moving. Good weight and heft. 5. All edges finished well for smooth gliding without marring surface Cons: 1. High priced 2. 48" would be better length for working with 4'x8' sheets of material ... show more

  • Kindof expensive but really well done
This is machined to precision, and thick enough it's not going to get bent up easily. The holes are small, so make sure to have your pencil sharpened, or use a fine tip mechanical pencil. This is a bit annoying, but unavoidable when working in 32nds. Also the print on this is really small, you may need a flashlight or glasses. It's 32-inches, it doesn't extend or retract. It's just two pieces. I don't know why they say it "extends" to 32 inches. If working with 48 inches, you can always mark from both sides. It's probably more accurate to do that anyway. It gets 4 out of 5 only because it seems expensive. ... show more

  • WORKS WELL
the only downside i have found to this is having a pencil that fits the holes. i did buy one. but, my cheap 50 cent home depot wood pencils are dead to me. this thing is awesome. i have not put a micrometer to it or anything but it seems very accurate. the material is sturdy.

  • Accurate and well made
At first, assembling this out of the box I was unsure of how accurate or square this would be, however after assembling it, I am pleased with how it is made. There are six set screws for the head of the square, and there is no discernible play at all. The first two screws will seemingly cause it to not look like it's going together right, but then once the other four are tightened, it comes together. You will need to keep going back and forth to tighten the screws until they are all finally secure, and once you do, it is solid and true. Using the square is like any other type of T-style ruler, and the holes are easy enough to read and insert a pencil into. I like to use a mechanical pencil, as they tend to assist with keeping it in the hole as I scribe the material. As far as accuracy goes, I placed this on my table saw and compared it to the miter groove and it was spot on. The square glides along material just fine, you simply need to use both hands to keep it square on the material at the same pace. With some practice, it operates very well and I am pleased. The head has a lip on it that keeps the square from rolling or going astray, which is a really cool feature and keeps it on point. This is a well-designed tool I shall find much use for. ... show more

  • Well made t-square/straightedge
This square is cast aluminum and is very solid. Dropping this would likely not bend it, since it is so well made. The finish is also good and does not scratch easily. The markings go down to 1/16 of an inch. All markings are very clear. There are corresponding holes for mechanical pencils so you can make a straight line by inserting the pencil and running the entire square the length of your work. This is great for panels and sheets in particular. It makes a great straightedge for marking or using a blade to cut vinyl, cardboard, acrylic, etc. It might seem a little pricey but this is a lifetime tool you will never have to buy again. ... show more

  • Already love it.
I just recently started using this tool and am loving it. It is quite expensive but it is of good quality. I was a little concerned that the screws holding it together might result in a poor connection but there are indexing pegs to keep things perfectly square and solid. I have been building a new pantry for myself with drawers and all the little bells and whistles I want. This square has seen quite a bit of use on this project and I find little to complain about. The one and only thing is the width of the "T". It is a 3' square and could use a little more width to make sure things stay stable while sliding the square across a piece. It's a minor complaint and not worth docking a star. If you have the money to spend and want a good t square this is a solid choice. ... show more

  • Very Solid T-Square
This T-square really impressed me. First off, it is very well made with easy to read markings. The matte black anodized finish looks very high end. Secondly, I found it to be very accurate. It is within 0.01 degrees of being perfectly perpendicular along the entire length. Third, and most impressive IMHO is the 32 inch length. There are so many times that I need more than 24" but less than 48" and this fits the bill perfectly. I find myself reaching for it more often than not anymore, even with the option for more expensive tools. ... show more
