This is probably the best pop up kennel for the price on amazon! Most other kennels in this price range were too small for my dog. I have a mini aussie but he's rather tall for the breed, and soft kennels around 32" were around $80. With that being said, the reason for 4 stars is while this kennel is good quality for the price, but there are definitely some interesting design choices. This kennel is ABSOLUTELY NOT for chewers or scratchers or any dog that's going to attemp to get out. Even for well kennel trained dogs, there is a strap that hangs down on the inside of the kennel with a clip. I'm assuming it's supposed to secure the dog inside the kennel, but the dog can easily get tangled and is very enticing for any dog to want to chew. Then there's a smaller velcro piece that hangs down from the top that's there to secure the top zipper flap when open. Again, when closed, it's very enticing for a dog to chew. The fleece mat that comes with is just a flat piece of Styrofoam with a fleece cover. It'd be very easy for a dog to shred. You could replace the Styrofoam as the cover does come off and is washable. Held up in the wash and quicky air dries. Other than those notable issues, the kennel fabric on the outside seems sturdy. It's very lightweight and super easy to assemble up and down. It is water resistant and easy to dry. The storage pockets are also a plus! We use this kennel for travel and for set up at dog agility trials, so it's durabiloty will be noted and I'll come back for an update. Great buy and price. Super spacious and roomy for my growing dog. A little difficult to assemble (so I wouldn’t break the poles) but once you look up a video on how to it wasn’t so bad. Waiting to use it on our trip since one of my is crate trained when away to sleep in it. Hopefully it’ll hold up even if my dog isn’t destructive when using crates. ... show more

We used to lug our yellow lab's 42" metal crate with us wherever we went. He's still a pup and hence a bit of a chewer. The metal crate was cumbersome to load into our SUV, rattled like crazy during the car ride and took up half the rear passenger space. We knew there had to be a better solution. A quick search for "travel crate" brought us here. We looked at several crates, the first one we bought (also a GoPetClub) was too tall to fit in our SUV so we returned it and got this one. The AC40 is a bit smaller than your average 42" crate but there's still plenty of space for our 72lbs lab to turn around and find a comfy spot. The frame itself is very easy to setup and once the bars are connected (one on each side) it is very sturdy but still light and easy to handle. The external accessory bag is a good size and can hold leashes, treats, and water bottle easily. There's a rollup mesh door and sunroof and what appears to be a short leash. The included crate pad has a soft faux-wool cover over a corrugated plastic board underneath, it isn't soft by any means but it sure beats sleeping on a cold, hard surface. It seems designed to be easy to clean in case of any accidents. The biggest drawback is that the interior of the crate has too many places where a bored puppy could get his/her chew on. The short leash hangs inside and there are a few too many exposed flaps and seams. We do pull the short leash out through the sunroof when he's crated and also treated the exposed flaps and seams with some bitter apple. So far nothing has been chewed off. Some other drawbacks - there isn't a solid outer panel you can zip over the mesh panels to give your doggie some privacy or shade. There aren't any tie down loops at the corners so I'm not sure why there's even a short leash. I doubt the material is water resistant. I wouldn't plan on using this for a camping trip unless the weather calls for completely clear skies or you can bring another tent/canopy just for the dog. Overall we are really happy with this crate and would recommend it if your pet isn't big on chewing, is crate trained and your use case doesn't involve outdoor adventures with the chance for inclement weather. ... show more

I bought this for my 90 pound pyrenees puppy because I wanted something lighter and easier to set up than the metal ones. My dog loved it and it definitely fit the bill for weight and set up…….. however, it lasted less than one day when he sliced a hole right through it with little effort. If you have an older dog that doesn’t have puppy “chew everything energy” this would still be a good choice. ... show more

I rarely write reviews, but I was so pleased with this carrier/crate that I needed to review this. I bought this to contain my 9 week old, 10 pound dogue de bordeaux puppy. I take Mia back and forth to work with me. She isn't crazy over car rides. She cries and howls the entire way there. She's also impossible to hold while I drive, not to mention it's not very safe to hold a squirming puppy while driving. I did my homework on amazon...checking all my options as far as price, positive reviews, and size. Most carriers were too small. I wanted something that my pup wouldn't outgrow in a couple of weeks. I ordered the Go Pet Club soft crate and it is perfect! It fits nicely on my backseat. I flip the one carry handle over the rear seat headrest to keep it in place. It doesn't move at all. There are 2 zipper sections, one on the end/side and one on top. I just open my back door, and pop her in through the side zipper door. There is tons of room in there, and lots of growing room. I figure she'll be able to ride in there until she's 5 or 6 months old, which is perfect. She will hopefully be able to sit and enjoy the car ride by then. This crate / carrier comes with a thin, soft removable pad/mat. Assembly is easy. Just stand it up. There are 2 rods on the inside top sides that snap together to keep its shape and give it stability. These come back apart so that the crate/carrier can be stored flat. I am very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend this product. ... show more
