Top-tier dog crate. Expensive; yes, worth it, also yes. I got the large 40 inch crate and I won’t lie. It’s a little difficult to do by yourself but not impossible feels lightweight but strong. This is a very nice crate that is foldable. It is very sturdy and has a smooth floor. It is not cheap. I got the 48” crate for my male German Shepherd (95 lbs). I think 42” or 44” would work, but 40” (the next smallest size) might be too small. I think my female (75 lbs) would be fine in a 40” but I’m going to get a 48” for her too. This is our second Impact. We have one for travel and one for home. Our Belgian Malinois is secure is this well made sturdy crate. Yes they are pricy but the quality is great.

I have a 85lb Newfie (still growing) who has separation anxiety. I bought an IMPACT high anxiety crate for home but needed something for travel. First of all this comes put together and set up takes less than 5 min compared to the 8 hrs and 2 people it took to put together the 53in high anxiety version which is then stationary and will take probably 3 to 4 peoole and a truck bed to transport. Although, this is not quite as sturdy as the high anxiety crate the fact that it can fold down and actually fit in the cargo space of my suburban gives it an edge. I do think, if she wasn't already used to the high anxiety version, in a real fit she would be be able to break out where it collapses on the long sides but paired with something like a frozen KONG it does the job. In the 48in version it doesn't give her a lot of extra room but she can lay down comfortably and is a very long dog. The crate does collapse and I can carry it alone but is quite cumbersome (but worth it for the sturdiness over a wire crate). I am 5'6 female and fairly strong but it I was any shorter I don't think I could carry this crate by myself especially not up stairs. But for me personally it was perfect for what I ordered it for. I am only taking a star away due to the fact I think she could potentially get out in a fact and I assume the crate would then collapse on her. That being said the website does not recommend this crate for dogs with anxiety so if you are on the fence go with a stationary version. ... show more

Hello everyone, I’m Sir Duke and I’m on my way on another outrageous adventure with Mom & Dad to a place where my (IMPACT) crate fits in amongst some of the finest products in the world. I have great visual sight of everything and I feel super confident if something falls on my IMPACT or I accidentally get dropped by the airline luggage staff I’ll feel really safe and secure. Yes I’m spoiled and my parents spend a great deal of money on me but I’m really loved. They are savvy shoppers as they know there are more expensive crates out there but they are built almost the same way. Dad has little patience so the (Impact) is perfect for him it’s fast to put together especially at the airport because my crate is gigantic and putting it together and taking it down along with foldability is easy and fast and super flat for us to travel with. When I get off the plane and I’m ready to get out and go, it’s easy for him to take it down and carry it away while Mom holds my leash and gets my passport out. I have to say that i love this crate and it has help up will to my small dog with separation anxiety. The plastic crates he would either figurer out how to get the door to push open or chew his way out. We went through 2 of those, then we went with a wire crate with plastic try in the bottom. Well he chewed the bars up and destroyed the plastic try. We decided to give one of these a try and it has made a big difference. He will still try to chew his way out but only for a short time and then he gives up and enjoys his kong and treats. ... show more

WHEN FOLDED IT DOES WEIGH ABOUT 20-25 POUNDS, BUT I LOVE IT. EASY TO PUT TOGETHER ONCE YOU REALIZE THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IT GOES UP AND ONE WAY TO CALASPES WITH EASE. MY CHOCOLATE LAB HAS A LOT OF ROOM AND SHE SLEEPS JUST FINE IN IT. I DID BUY A LARGE, SHE IS ALMOST 11 MONTHS, NOT SURE IF SHE WILL GROW A LITTLE MORE. THIS CRATE IS MADE WELL AND SHOULD LAST A LIFE TIME. EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH THE COMFORT MY DOG IS SECURED AND WHEN THE CRATE IF FOLDED IT TAKES UP VERY LITTLE SPACE WHILE STORED. ... show more
