I dabble in crafts that use jump rings that I like to seal closed and have wanted to test out basic welding for garden ornaments/outside decor. This unit is great for that-- and ideal for learning. I wouldn't trust it for anything more substantial. The kit includes gloves, a hammer/brush combo, and some rods to get started. I need to buy a basic mask because this unit will arc-- it would have been nice to have that in the box.

I used it the first day I received it. Only took two days to get. It work very well especially when considering the price. If you don’t do a lot of welding or just need a small portable welding machine 110v then buy this one.

I intentionally tried to kill my first one. Burned up four pounds or so of 3/32 dust covered rod left over from my grandpa's 40 year welding career (really old crap). Finally I got bored and gave up. Didn't flinch. I bought a second so I leave one at either house. Great little stick welder machine.
