Arrived well-boxed and all the parts were there. Assembly was pretty straightforward and all the hardware was well-marked and all of the holes lined up well (for the last reviewer, JT, you assembled it backwards-the weight arm goes on the left-your front lower support is upside down, inverting the arm assembly to end up on the wrong side) . I use it with the seat front at the highest position and it is a little tight getting in and out of it. Overall, the machine could be a little bigger- I am 6 ft, 205lbs. Range of motion is pretty good, especially on leg curls- I give it an A for the leg curl exercise. Top range of motion on extensions could be a little better. As others have said, the plastic screws for keeping the weight horn on are useless- they need to have a dedicated Olympic weight horn option instead of the adapter, which can move out sometimes when using. While not near gym quality, it is a good addition to a home gym and coupled with other exercises makes for a good leg day at home. ... show more

Adjustments for leg extension and leg curls get you the perfect fit and range of movement. I like to do both exercises with maximum range of movement and am satisfied. Of course, if you use an expensive Life Fitness commercial gym machine, it will be better. But for home gym, this is great for the price! Only issue was on bottom of frame, there were two circular holes where two carriage bolts needed to be inserted. Carriage bolts have a hexagon shape and would not seat properly into the circular holes so I had to spend about five minutes using a files to enlarge the holes. ... show more

I was hoping for too much. There’s a reason the machines at the gym cost as much as they do (thousands). 1. The position this puts you in, although adjustable, can be awkward. 2. The application of force on your legs as you navigate the range of motion is quite poor. This is actually my biggest complaint. 3. The machine feels unstable as soon as you get to 3x 45lb plates or above. 4. The plate holder bends slightly causing weights to fall off without a clamp. 5. The padded bar that rests near your feet also bends. This would be my second biggest complaint. Overall I don’t know that you’ll do much better for the money. You could do much better if you had access to the gym quality equipment, though. I would not purchase this again or really recommend anyone else to purchase it. I think the design has some pretty fundamental flaws that cannot be fixed without some major reengineering on their part. ... show more

So I got this for my wife to strengthen her muscles around her arthritic knees to delay replacement surgery. The extensions and curls are smooth and hit the target muscles great. My major gripe is the back pad was crooked as you can see from the picture and the bolts for the seat and back pads didn't have loctite on the screw threads. Also as you can see from the other picture the top pad that rests on your thigh does not have the range of motion to make it easy to get in and out of the chair. You can pull the back rest farther back but would need a partner to bring it back up to a comfortable position. The hand grip pokes you getting in and out. That half moon adjuster should have more adjustments to get it out of the way so you can comfortably get in and out of the machine. Otherwise I am semi happy with this machine. Took about 2 hours to assemble and i used my drill and sockets which saved my wrists. Also the price is a bit too much at the $520.00 with tax I paid for the quality of this machine. Around $299 would be more of a fair price for the quality of parts. Came packaged great though. It's just ok. ... show more

I found this machine to be excellent, in construction, usability and value. I had a small issue with purchase price, which the customer support corrected promptly, so I also rate the customer support very high. Shipping: Shipped well packaged. The carrier did treat it somewhat roughly, but no damage to the parts. Shipping was also fast, received the item two days before estimated. Construction and Assembly: Instructions were good, and the construction appeared to be top notch. All the welds were strong, the two bearings moved smoothly. All the parts were in there. I did have two sets of ratcheting sockets and wrenches which made assembly a breeze. One tip I have is to not take any of the nuts, bolts or washers out of the shrink wrap, just make a slit in the shrink wrap and take out what you need at each step. Some washers and nuts are close in size, so it is easier to identify when the parts stay with the labels on the wrap. Another tip is not to take the parts out of the plastic sleeves until needed for assembly, as the part numbers are on the plastic sleeves, and a couple of parts look alike, but are actually different. Usability: I am 6ft tall, and for me the adjustments covered the required ranges. Back, seat, thigh support and 360 degree rotation adjustments all worked well. No creaks or wobble at any stage, I only went up to 150lb, I am sure it can handle more easily. Overall I am very happy with this machine. ... show more
