This machine appears to be a good choice for squat exercises except: You must be very careful in getting on and off this machine! The mounting base is way too narrow to offer much in the way of stability. This narrow base combined with the high mounting height of the seat, can be very tricky in getting on and off without risking a tumble or suffering any other accident. The base, as supplied, is just too narrow to be stable. This machine would be a joy to use if the base was wider but as it is made, there is a constant worry of having a mishap. I always shop around so when I realized Amazon had the DB Method I wanted at a price that was better than the company website with their own 30% discount I grabbed it! I love my new DB Method machine and can actually do squats and get back up thanks to the hydraulics that lift you up with a little pull of the hand rails. I had a total knee replacement two years ago and was unable to do squats until now thanks to this machine. I took a before picture and in a few weeks I’ll add it and an after picture of my results.
