This is an amazing product for the price. The machine offers consistent weight throughout the movement. I'm shocked at how smooth the range of motion is. It's amazing. The leg bar is solid and does not bend at high weight. The function of this machine is commercial grade. This machine will hold a lot of weight and will not wobble. The product is made with high grad steal and components in the curial areas. For $400, you will not be disappointed in this machine. I would put this machine up against any commercial grade machine in terms of function on the market. Assembly was easy. Downside. The only real downside. The knobs adjusting the seat movement are plastic. Could be an issue long term.

First, let me say that I've been weight training for 58 years both at home and in gyms. I've used every kind of home gym and commercial gym leg extension and ham string machine. From a training perspective, the V4 is as good as any commercial gym machine. I'm 5'9.5" 178 lbs. My wife is 5'5" nominal weight but lean. The torque curve is good. It felt constant throughout the range of motion for both the quads and the hamstrings. (My preference is for it to get slightly easier at maximum contraction to reduce creeping reduced ROM, but that's personal) For my size, I can usually use most of the stacks at commercial gyms for leg extension. Unless you are in the top .1% of strength, there is little risk of maxing out this machine. The machine is solid enough that it is not necessary to perfectly balance the plates. I wouldn't load 100lb on one side and let the other be empty, but from what I can see, a 45lb difference between sides is irrelevant. That's a time saver when my wife and I are alternating the use of the machine. I just have to get the total weights right. I recommend getting at least one 2.5 lb 2" plate to dial in the resistance. I have fractional plates down to 4 oz. As can be seen in some youtubes, there is some flex in the structure under heavy load. While working out, you don't notice it. I loosened the bolts and pre stressed the frame in th eopposite direction. It seems to have fixed the problem. Value is good. I'd buy it again. I wish I had this when I started my home gym build. What is really noticeable is the speed that I can work in with my wife. Changes are fast. Unlike the pendulum machines, I can do hams w/o her helping me adjust the restraint to hold down your leg. Assembly was straight forward IMHO. One action per instruction page. The seat assembly took a second try . Positioning of the angle of the pieces makes a difference. Took me maybe 60-90 minutes of uninterrupted time. I didn't clock it; just an estimate. It is in the top tier for priority buys for a home gym. My cable machine is first. This would be second, My pec dec would be third. I've made several purchases of home gym devices that I've gotten rid of. this one will stay.

I spent quite a bit of time researching leg extension options for my home gym, during the last Prime Day when the LIONSCOOL product went on sale, I knew it was time to buy. The assembly process was OK. I would rate the instructions as average to slightly above average. There is a good customer created assembly video on YouTube that is worth finding. I also like the fact that the wrenches included were good quality wrenches. The assembly process will go much more easily if you have a socket to use. A key consideration for me was the space requirements of the unit. The provided dimensions on the product page are accurate. I would rate the leg extension function as a 10 out of 10. I was concerned about the range of motion, the leg extension function provides more range of motion than I am able to use comfortably which is great. The strength curve for the leg extension is outstanding and very smooth. I would rate the leg curl function as an 8 out of 10. The leg extension works very well, where it loses a few points with me are first on the strength curve, I find that at the very top of the movement the resistance decreases due to the fact that the weight is moving more laterally than vertically. The second issue with the leg curl for me is where the pads hit me when I am lying in position. The pads are not uncomfortable, however, they could fit me better. I believe that this is completely personal and a person of different height or dimensions would have a different result. The overall quality of the machine is truly outstanding. The construction is very solid, no wobble or looseness at all. The padding is firm but not hard. I do not even think about the comfort when I am using the machine, it is just comfortable. Overall this is a great machine and it is a fabulous addition to my home gym. I give this piece of equipment my highest recommendation, I have no regrets in purchasing it.

WOW. Found out about this through Coop from the garage gym channel. He’s right when he says that this is better than a machine costing 10xs as much. We often hear the saying you get what you pay for but mannnnnn I feel like I cheated the system in some way. Getting a machine this amazing for <$400? Let me tell you something, if someone asked me to trade this leg extension machine for a $4,000 one, I’d tell them no way. That’s how crazy good this machine feels! Okay, maybe I lied. I’d make the trade, sell that machine and buy me another lionscool lol. Great feel, smooth, and you get a deep stretch. Much better than most expensive machines. If I had to make changes though I’d say, it would be nice to be able to adjust the height of the bar pad against the shins, and this is me just being super critical but ONE more hole for even DEEPER stretch. These are minor things though and it truly is my favorite leg machine I’ve ever tried. In the pic included I got a little creative and attached it to my voltra for cable-resistance but plates work great too or even better

Received this quicker than expected. Reached out to the company, a small piece was missing, probably during transit a hole in the box and a bushing must have rolled out when the zip tie holding it in failed. I reached out and they promptly sent out a replacement part. I'm also extremely satisfied with this piece of equipment, it's solid, sturdy, and easy to put together. Definitely keep this at the top of your list if you're deciding on one. I wish it had the option to seated leg curls, but the position of the weight throughout the rep. creates the consistency that I favor over the seated position. It was something I weighed out, and due to other pieces I've used in the past, this option is what made me decide to go with this one.

Great product, I put it together in about 2 hours. Very thorough assembly instructions and is definitely the smoothest feeling pieces of equipment I have in my home gym. I will probably be purchasing their leg press in the near future as well.

This is easily one of the worst equipment assembly experiences I've ever had. From the moment I opened the box, the problems started. The instructions were vague, parts didn't line up properly, and the wheel assembly was an absolute disaster. Getting the rod through the wheel mechanism took far longer than it should have because the holes were difficult to access and nothing seemed to fit together the way the instructions suggested. What should have been a straightforward build turned into hours of frustration, disassembly, and guesswork. The padding was another major issue. It was difficult to install correctly, and some of the components felt cheaply made from the start. Unfortunately, those concerns turned out to be justified. Shortly after assembly, the padding permanently broke and became unusable. For a machine that's supposed to support repeated exercise, having structural components fail almost immediately is completely unacceptable. Even worse, the problems didn't stop once the machine was assembled. The wheel repeatedly fell off during use despite being installed according to the instructions and checked multiple times. Having a major moving component detach itself over and over again is not only frustrating but also raises serious concerns about the product's design and safety. At this point, I have very little confidence in the quality control behind this machine. Between the terrible assembly process, the wheel constantly falling off, and the padding breaking permanently, this product feels unfinished and poorly engineered. Exercise equipment should be durable, reliable, and safe. This machine failed on all three counts. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere and spending your money on a product from a manufacturer with better quality control and better engineering.

After using this machine for about 2 months I really enjoy it. It does what it’s supposed to do and it does it very well. It took me about 1.5-2 hrs to put together and that’s because I messed up on a step. The hardware package was damage and I found myself going back to the page that has a ruler to measure length. The more you assemble the less hardwire you will have to measure, but still was a pain. I will not take a star away because my review is purely based on functionality not on delivery. I’m 5’5 and 280 lbs and I fit really good on it. One of the reasons I chose this machine was because of the bigger seat support compared to others. My wife is 4’10 and the rollers are at her ankles. I put an extra back cushion to help minimize ankle strain but she’s not loading up the thing either. All in all,a solid 10/10 Note: in the video I reviewing it sore 😅 and it’s very stable as you’ll notice when I get off!
