I didn’t have many problems with using this whip. I noticed while learning if the handle jumped my leg it turned off, so it’s VERY sensitive. Also, the battery doesn’t last long so I recommend buying a second for backup. One probably lasts 1hr so it puts a damper on practicing. Lol overall, I’m happy I finally purchased because its so much fun! ... show more

The whip you buy off of gloFX has way better fiberoptic whip fibers.

I wish it was more smooth on the body but it got stuck alot. My friend got another brand and it works perfect - personally would not recommend. Mine is hanging out in a closet..

    • So excited to use this at an event
Sadly, I've been unable to whip this out at a live event, but I'm beyond excited. I've been practicing for 6 months now - about 10x 1-3 hour sessions per month. The handle is extremely light compared to two other non-recognized brands I've found on Amazon. I've replaced the fiber head once, mostly because it doesn't look as pretty since it's thinned out from normal wear and tear. I am quite rough with my whip. I've only had to charge my battery once since October (100+ hours use), which I am PLEASANTLY surprised about because I've heard YT flowers mention only 2-3 hours worth of flow per charge. I def won't need a backup battery at an event. A note is that the programming video shown on YT is hard to follow, but I did eventually figure it out. It's possible the video could be geared towards their older model. Tip. As a beginner, I would invest in their foam grip or wrap your handle with a pool noodle. Bruising may occur. :-) My only qualm is a whip head replacement is relatively expensive as it's not far off from the entire body + fiber price. (About $20 difference). This makes for a very expensive hobby if I'm to replace them every half year-ish... ... show more

    • Broken In Under Month, Horrible Customer Service
Broke within the first month. I emailed GLOFX and they could teach a masterclass in poor customer service. All I asked for was a battery, and they required weeks and weeks of emails back and forth where they acted like I couldn’t figure out to use the battery, and when I sent them videos of it not working they asked for MORE videos. I sent those and then they said they needed me to send back the battery before they would ship a new one. ALL FOR A BATTERY. I bought a Fiber Flies whip that actually works and is wonderful. GLOFX is garbage. Update, they said they were going to send me a new battery, and then didn’t. A week later i followed up and they said they were waiting on me to confirm i wanted the battery…. which i had said i wanted only a thousand times prior. It’s been over a month of back and forth, and now they won’t even let me return the damn broken thing. This is such a rip off. Horrible company. ... show more

This thing is awesome. Came nicely wrapped, no bends in the fibers. I was worried because I had ordered it during the summer in AZ. It was super curly for a couple weeks (which actually made it easier to whip) before it straightened out a bit. It’s inevitable that you lose fibers, but luckily this brand sells replacements so you don’t need to buy an entire new whip. Battery life is also excellent, I can run it every day for a 3 day festival without recharging. JUST BUY IT!! ... show more
