The GlocalMe G40Pro is a dependable and well-built mobile hotspot, especially useful for travel or areas where your regular carrier doesn’t reach. Setup was a breeze using the GlocalMe app, and I liked the intuitive touchscreen interface that clearly shows remaining data. It’s compact, easy to carry, and works right out of the box. I’ve used it on road trips and family visits where Wi-Fi wasn’t available, and it consistently delivered solid 4G LTE speeds—often over 300 Mbps download in good conditions. My kids streamed and played online games without a hitch. It’s also great that you can insert your own SIM card or use their CloudSIM. That said, the data plans are on the expensive side, and speed can vary depending on your location. In some cases, I saw slower speeds around 40 Mbps download, but still acceptable for browsing, cloud work, or even light gaming. I don't out of the country frequently, but I go to Mexico several times a year and occasionally to other places and internet access is always an issue at some point. I like how simple this is to use and setup. The device itself is pretty heavy duty without taking up a lot of room and has an easy to read screen. Performance wise, I have no complaints. This is definitely top of the line in terms of speed and performance. Data plans from this brand are pricey and perhaps not the best option but the multiple sim slots allow me to buy my own data plan abroad.

This mobile hot spot was very easy to set up and is small and convenient to use. One thing that I immediately appreciated was that it was very convenient to join my phone to the WiFi network by way of a QR code that is displayed on the screen when prompted. That is nice instead of having to remember to look for the SSID and then copying down the password to join. Point your phone's camera at the QR code and it joins right up with no issues. I have used my iPhone and my iPad to join this hotspot using the QR code and it is fast and easy. As other have pointed out it is limited to 4G speeds, but for most situations that is probably sufficient. It certainly is for me. One feature that didn't occur to me right off was that this unit is not tied to any one carrier. It can connect to different cellular carriers, both in the US and abroad. It didn't immediately dawn on me that this is a nice feature. My personal cellphone is on the T-Mobile network. As I am sure we all know in some areas, especially away from larger metropolitan areas one carrier can be more prevalent than others. I remember being in Eastern New Mexico a few years ago at a military installation. I couldn't get a cellphone signal on my business phone at all. At the time the company I worked for used ATT. They said that other carriers worked, but AT&T did not. Being that it was a military installation, there are ZERO public WiFi hotspots, at least not where I was at. It was inconvenient to say the least to not have my phone while working every day.This device would be super handy in a situation like that, because it can use other cellular carriers to connect. I can think of other situations where it would be handy to have this device and that would be for international travel. I have been to many places in Europe and last year we went to Australia. For our personal cellphones we have the 2nd to the top tier of T-Mobile's service. Because of that we do get, I believe 5GB of high speed data internationally, but after that it is like 2G speeds. I think it's capped at like 256 Kbps. (Yes, that's kilobits/second). Extremely slow to the point of almost being unusable. Of course, I can buy more data for my phone and use it as a hot spot, but it's roughly the same price as international data is for this device. Plus, the drawback of being tied to the T-Mobile network and any cellular provider that works with T-Mobile abroad. I haven't had this mobile hotspot too long and have not traveled yet, certainly not internationally, but it will definitely be making every trip with me from now on. One thing that I forgot to mention is that this is a pay-as-you-go system. There are no contracts, so if you don't use it for a period of time there's no money being spent on something not needed. When you know that you are going to need a WiFi hot spot then it's a simple matter to buy a plan that meets your needs via the app. The app is a pretty handy way to interact with the device, although this hotspot does have a small touchscreen. When I activated it came with 10 GB of data (that is good over a 30-day period) and a 1 GB data package that is good for global use. The global package doesn't expire for 1821 days from now (~ 5 years). That will be nice to be able to have the first 1 GB of data for free the next time I am overseas. I definitely recommend this device!

I went to a 10 days business and leisure trip across 3 European countries, and I needed reliable, high-speed internet every single day. I had no time and no patience for weak hotel WiFi. That's when this "Upgraded 4G+ Mobile Hotspot Device "became my secret weapon. On the day of departure, I turned it on at JFK Airport,no SIM card required, super simple setup. With its built-in "AI HyperConn technology", it automatically connected to the strongest available local network. Across different cities and countries, I consistently enjoyed speeds , even on trains and in tiny cafés. What really amazed me? I had to deliver a major "video pitch from a taxi in France". I connected my laptop, phone, and tablet—plus my assistant and video editor were also online. There are 5 devices streaming, syncing, and uploading—all smooth, no lag, no drops. It felt just like my office WiFi. The battery lasted all day, the device was compact and solidly built,it is totally worth it. Highly recommended!
