As a content creator, I feel like I can never have enough light sources for shooing video - so I have quite a few. Some good, some GREAT...some less so. This one definitely falls into the GREAT category, and here is why: 1. It is very, VERY easy to stabilize. While I have another light similar to this one, it is "light gun" style where it must be hand held for best use (You can mount it, but it's a HUGE pain) This one solves that problem as it mounts to a tripod super easily and super securely. I had no issues mounting this to a monopod OR a tripod, by the way. 2. It is very, VERY easy to use. It takes longer to take out of the VERY well packaged box than it does to figure out how to operate this thing. It comes with instructions but you don't need them. It comes fully charged and ready for action. 3. You can easily get several hours of continuous use from this with no problem. 4. It is quick to charge back to full - under 2 hours to maximum and you are set for a while. 5. You can use this as a hand held also if you want to, which is great for things like product shots, etc. 6. You have quite a few options on lighting temperatures and brightness. It's super easy to play with this and set to whatever works best for your shot. 7. Despite that it's a decent size (not too big, not too small) it is surprisingly light and well constructed. 8. It's a light. It's going to get hot, right? Surprisingly...NO! This thing is EXCELLENT at cooling so you can literally pick the light up by the bulb if you wanted to (not sure why you would, but ok) 9. The cooling/fan is QUIET. So you won't have ambient sound from that in your shots. 10. Due to this unit's size and design, it's very easy to throw in a backpack and go. Overall, if you need a portable, easy to use BRIGHT light, this is the one to get. The price point is higher than some others, but after having used it for quite a few videos, I have to say that the quality is there and merits that. I highly recommend this...in fact...if you need one of these lights and only want to buy ONE...buy this one. It offers you tremendous versatility, functionality and bang for your buck.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: -CX100 Light -Light Shade -Diffuser -Charging Cable PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: -It’s bright. REALLY BRIGHT. They list it at 3840 max lux (I’m not sure what the lumen rating is). You get about 30 minutes of use if using it at full power. However, I don’t know many situations where you would be using this at full power given the amount of brightness you can achieve. I mostly use this when taking pictures of objects/products. Things like that, as opposed to lighting up a subject for video. -The unit itself comes in a bit over 1.5 pounds so while it might feel a bit heavy, it’s still light enough for that one-hand operation they show you. The battery actually acts as the palm grip and where you’ll be holding the unit. You’ll notice on the backside there is a big FAN. You can’t turn on that manually as far as I’m aware. It turns on itself when it senses the right heat level. There are 2 ¼ quarter threaded ports on the bottom to mount to your other equipment/tripods, whatever. -I didn’t know this until I got it, but there IS a warning on this, that it’s possible to cause flammable things to catch on fire if you have it too close. When you are using the higher brightness on this, the LED will heat up over time and this is what they are referring to. So again, this can get very bright so proceed with all proper cautions like you would any high-powered light. -The Light comes with a hood and a Diffuser to help not blind your subjects LoL or just to soften up things a bit. They also list it as compatible with products that use a Bowens Mount if you have the adapter, so you can put on a full large-size light diffuser/soft box if you wish. You get a decent color temp range from 2700k up to 6500K. -You can charge it via a USB PD Cable or you can power it continuously using the built-in 24V DC Port. They don’t give you the power adapter for that, so you’ll need to source that on your own. But it’s a nice option to have, especially if you forgot to charge it or you went through the battery already. Summary: This light should work well for anyone who has mobile studio needs, or just needs a more compact setup. It’s great for those who need to travel, especially since you can charge it via PD USB Type C. It can get really bright. I tried to share a picture of some of the light bouncing from a wall but Honestly, It can’t do it justice so just make sure you see this as a reference only. The actual output is way up there. The one thing I didn’t like much was the release of the light hood. It’s just made kinda cheapy and thin. I’ve been very careful with it because I’m worried about that tab breaking on me. I’ll upload a picture to show you what it looks like. The price is also a little bit on the high side In my opinion, But everything else is pretty impressive. Light is robust, simple to use, and easy to get going.

This thing is bright! It is much too heavy for a cold shoe mount on most cameras. It could work on a rig. I love that it charges USB C! It does charge way faster with a fast charger! I love that it has 2 different 1/4-20 mounting ports so that you can balance it! Despite the stickers telling me how to turn it on, it still took me ~5 minutes to figure it out! (one quick push, then an 2 second push) The diffuser is FANTASTIC! I love that you can run it concave or convex! The light spread when it is convex is wonderful in a room! I wish it fit my strobes! This is a really great light!
