All I wanted was a simple, inexpensive floor lamp for my spare bedroom; and this is it! Super ease to assemble (Although I suggest you make sure you keep pulling cord from base of the lamp so there is no slack while assembling [as mentioned in instructions]; otherwise you might have troubles screwing in the lamp post pieces straight.) The base of the lamp isn't bad assemble correctly and tighten all parts, and place in a corner if you have rowdy kids and pets and no issues there because this will all help to prevent tip-overs, which I like. (It does not come with a remote control though so keep that in mind.) The lamp comes really well packed, too! I purchased foy my daughters bedroom. It doesn't seem to get really hot and nor does it give off a hot heat level if kept on. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why people are returning these lights. To me, this has been an absolute steal. These lights are excellent. So, please keep returning them so I can keep buying them at the lower price because I need three more. One for my dining room and one each for my two extra bedrooms. If you are on the fence… you need to buy this lamp. This light is absolutely excellent; a steal for resale price or even at regular price this is a steal. Perfect lamp for me! Don’t listen to the negative views on this lamp. Buy this this lamp, it’s a great price for a good lamp. I could not ask for a better one at this price. In terms of a plastic shade, this is a good solid plastic. The media could not be loaded. If you want a cheap lamp that works, this may be for you. Yes it’s not the finest material and it might break easily but if you want a functional lamp for a good price, this is probably the best.     • Does the job efficiently but seems a bit flimsy

I bought this lamp for my family member who had to move into a memory care facility where they requested non-glass lamps for safety. The lamp arrived on time and was well-packaged, with very basic "screw the parts together" instructions that anyone could follow. The problem I ran into was that the threaded inserts the manufacturer had inserted into each section of tubing for the stand were sometimes jammed into the tubing crookedly, making it impossible for the lengths to fit together properly. I was able to use pliers to remove and correctly reinsert the threaded pieces, but for anyone counting on a "no tools needed" assembly this would be a real problem rather than an annoyance. I would not have been able to remove & reinsert them by hand. Once assembled I was happy with the lamp; it was bright, inexpensive, and sufficient to do the job required, but be warned that the tubing is very thin. It could easily be bent if carried incorrectly or handled roughly. ... show more

First one I received was defective. One of the screws was crooked. Next one I received seems to work fine but clearly has been used. It has scratches and fingerprints on it. The top screw will not screw in all the way, but it does stay straight unlike the last one, so I will probably keep it. The Delilah floor lamp is a good, nice-looking floor lamp at a good price. The main light bulb accepts up to 150 W, while the secondary light bulb accepts up to 40 W. The gooseneck of the secondary light bulb is adjustable for optimal positioning. The webpage says that the main light bulb can be toggled between low, medium and high lighting - I found that the main light bulb has only ONE lighting setting (the first toggle does not turn on the light, while the second and third toggles have the same lighting), but that is OK with me because I can turn on the secondary light bulb instead for lower lighting. A screw-on end of a pole section of the initial Delilah floor lamp I received was slanted so that the next pole section did not screw on all the way and was noticeably slanted. However, Amazon allowed me to easily order a replacement for free, and the second Delilah floor lamp I quickly received was fine. ... show more
