Description

Out of the office and into your home, the Architect Swing-Arm Clamp-On Desk Lamp in glossy white stylishly adds a pop of color to your loft, dorm room, make-up station, night table, chic home office or child's desk. The moveable clamp lets you place your light on any surface with an edge, essentially a truly multipurpose lamp. Swing-arm task lamps can look right at home any where bright, focused light is needed. They can be clamped onto a countertop, a shelf on the wall or onto floating shelves in your kitchen if space is really tight. The durable metal body echoes the stylings of the traditional architect desk lamp design from the 1920s, but the modern color is perfect for the interior designs of today. The adjustable head and neck can be moved without interfering with the wiring, so you always have the perfect light. Try using this lamp with a Globe Electric Smart Bulb to create the ideal lighting solution for any situation.

    • Excellent build and functioning
Color: Jet Black
This is an old-fashioned multiarm desk lamp that will screw into a horizontal table edge quite nicely. I have a 100 watt bulb installed and love it for drawing and reading. It reaches across my table without collapsing, as some other such lamps will do. Happy I bought it! Nice black color and well built. ... show more

    • Love this light.
Color: Jet Black
I plan to but more of these lights, they are great. Well built. Not plastic, All metal, and durable, will last a long time, and I figure out how to get it somewhat cheaper, cost half what other places were chargeing for them. Paid only $19.00 for it Great price.

    • strong base
Color: Jet Black
This is the third or fourth lamp like it I have owned. The weak point has always been the plastic socket used at the base by the others. If you move the lamp around during the day on a regular basis, the plastic weakens and the lamp needs to be replaced. This version used a pressed and formed steel socket and base and is aging well. All in all a great value for the money. ... show more

    • Good lamp for the price, but use gently
Color: Jet Black
I have bought several of these lamps for use at manicure tables in my salon. The price is great, the design is sleek, and it gets the job done. Unfortunately, I have had to replace a few because the head attaches to the base with a plastic piece that breaks somewhat easily. You have to move the lamp very gently and NOT by moving the head of the lamp itself to avoid snapping the plastic joint. Other than that, I am pleased with this product and will continue to purchase more for my business. ... show more

    • Do Not Buy This Garbage.
Color: Jet Black
SYNOPSIS This lamp should be evaluated based on the two distinct functions it needs to serve: (a) provide a secure clamp onto a surface; and (b) provide stable adjustable lighting angles. This garbage singularly fails at both of these criteria. AVOID THIS ITEM. DETAILED Difficulty Level - How Hard Was This To Use? [_] Beginner [_] Novice [_] Competent [_] Advanced [x] Expert I had to fight with the crappy clamp for over an hour to get it to provide a SEMI-secure hold. The bell cap on the screw-tight portion of the clamp is cheap and thin metal, which is not SECURED to the clamp! It comes off easily, and that means that the part that is supposed to create a secure hold FALLS OFF when you screw. Build Quality [x] This felt very poorly designed, and I recommend against buying it. [_] This felt poorly designed, but "your mileage may vary." [_] This felt like it was adequately designed, with no big pros or cons. [_] This felt like it was well designed, with more pros than alternatives. [_] This felt like it was excellently designed, and I recommend buying it. Build Materials [x] This felt like it was made of different materials than promised, and I warn against it. [_] This felt like it was made of very cheap materials, and I would not recommend it. [_] This felt like it was made of the promised materials, with no big pros or cons. [_] This felt like it was made of higher quality materials, with more pros than alternatives. [_] This felt like it was made of premium materials, and I recommend buying it. Build Safety [_] This felt very unsafe to use, and I recommend against buying it. [x] This felt a little unsafe to use, but "your mileage may vary." [_] This felt safe enough to use, but nothing to write home about. [_] This felt safe to use, with better performance than alternatives. [_] This felt very safe to use, and I recommend buying it Functionality [x] This did not do what it promised, and I recommend against buying it. [_] This did what it promised, but very badly. [_] This did what it promised, but it was "just fine." [_] This did what it promised, and did it better than alternatives. [_] This did what it promised, with distinction, and I recommend buying it. This was one of the worst purchases I have ever made. I absolutely and completely regret buying this item and I warn you that this is going to disappoint you too. ... show more

    • Works great and was a needed replacement
Color: Jet Black
Had an old lamp on my radio desk/workshop bench and it just gave up one night so I ordered this one. It came in a day or two later and has been lighting up my nights ever sense. Quite happy with this lamp and will recommend it to anyone who needs a bench top light.

    • For the price, it’s great but not super secure
Color: Gold
Came mostly assembled and is very nice looking but base of lamp is not secure to clamp. When assembling the base of the lamp sits in a hole at the top of the clamp, nothing locks it in place or keeps it attached to the clamp and the fit when it sits in the clamp is loose and wobbly. The lamp works great, I set it up with a smart bulb so I can adjust brightness and warmth, the clamp itself is solid and the knobs to adjust angle and height work great. I wish it was more secure to the clamp. ... show more
