Beautiful retro mid-century design. Seems to be all-metal construction also, which is a plus. The addition of two separate pull-string switches is also very convenient, far preferrable to putting the switch up inside the shade or on the cord. The only negative: the lamp is wobbly in its stand. Just touching it and it wobbles back and forth. This seems to be the weak spot where the vertical rod meets the base. It is tightened but still wobbly. Unfortunately design flaw. Nevertheless, we will keep the items. ... show more

This cute lamp has lasted almost one year. I have tried to find the problem for a correction to no avail. It simply does not turn on. Changed bulbs, still no light. It is not sturdy so I have had to weight the base down to prevent it tipping over. The next time our electrician is over I will let him see it. Hopefully he finds a simple repair vs. You bought a piece of crap. It is very adorable on my bedside table, giving the right lite. I am very disappointed, did not even light up my life for a complete year. ... show more
