I got this bed base for downstairs when severe weather is forecasted. It is so easy to unfold and set up then later fold back up and put away. I also got a fold-up mattress that I do the same thing. Now when severe weather is forecasted for the night, I have a place to sleep downstairs.

    • Easy to assemble BUT mattress slides around!
This arrived in a timely manner! I had ordered a mattress, 4 different sheets, a comforter, a mattress topper, a mattress protector , and a few other things. This was the 2nd item to arrive! The day after the mattress! So I am not one to assemble and put together things. I get frustrated and overwhelmed... overall just terrible at it tbh. BUT this was SUPER easy. Picture instructions with simple written instructions underneath the detailed pictures. I opened the box and put this together in under 5 mins with a 2yo and an 8 month old lurking! I opted for this one because the others didn’t seem to hold much weight and I alone weigh 274lbs. Lets add the weight of the mattress... I don’t know... just felt like a safer option. My 12inch mattress I think may sit a smidge low... maybe with the mattress topper it will be perfect? By a smidge low it could be about 3-4 inches higher and I’m 5’4. It is QUIET! No squeaking!!! Now what I gave it 4 out of 5 stars for is that it has nothing to help prevent the mattress from sliding all over the place on the frame. I have not even crawled on the bed yet (mattress protector hasn’t arrived- kids) and this is already a problem that I will have to get creative to fix. I didn’t see a whole lot of reviews so I thought I would give my 2 cents worth. I hope this helps! And thank you for reading my book! Lol ———————————————————— After a few months use.. it does have a squeak to it. Not too terribly bad of a squeak but it is a squeak.. my kids sleep with me so I put the bed against the wall.. in the corner so .. that helps prevent the mattress from sliding around and my kids from falling off lol. The people at Harper & Park are just amazing, particularly, the attendant that helped me with my purchases. Initially, I made the mistake of ordering a "FULL XL" and not a "FULL". The attendant helped me right away and got the right one within days. I can't believe what I was sleeping on for years compared to this base. THe first night I slept on it was probably the best night sleep I hadn't had for years. It is truly the perfect base. Initially, my fear was that I would need something else to go between my mattress and the bas (because I have a rather thin orthopedic mattress), but no, I didn't need anything else. The base works perfectly, very well engineered, sturdy, doesn't make any noise, and my bed feels very firm as I needed it to be. You'll be very satisfied if you go with this product. (trust me, this is coming from a pretty big dude) ... show more

Such a great alternative to a traditional boxspring! It’s sturdy, easy to assemble. Folds for easy moving and fits inside my headboard & footboard set seamlessly. And when I purchased it, buying this platform saved me at a minimum $40 from buying the cheapest boxspring alternative. I also love the under bed storage it creates. It was easy to put together. I took the advise of some of the reviewers and used the cardboard box it came in as a board on the frame. This way my memory foam mattress will not "pucker" thru the frame.
