I like these clips. They are priced for value but they are reasonably well made compared to a name brand part. They are easy to solder to. The jaws are in alignment for most of these and the clip force is high enough that they make a good electrical connection to whatever they are attached to. A few in the kit I received had jaws that were slightly out of alignment but I was able to correct them with a little force from a small pair of pliers. The rivets are not installed on the same side of the clips and some of them are not flush with the jaws. But they all work well with a good grip so I'm not concerned about that since the cover hides the rivets. Overall I think these are a good value and a good way to load up your inventory.     • Great Alligator Clips!
I ordered the larger alligator clips (1.8") and they are much easily to use without your hand slipping off the insulated cover which is a nice benefit. I used 18awg silicone wire and within an hour I had made up a few sets that had a resistance reading 0.3ohms or less. The assembled alligator lead kits I've bought in the past are junk. They use no solder hence the resistance reading bounces all over (3ohm or higher) depending on how the wire is orientated. It's a fun little soldering project making your own jumper leads and well worth the time spent seeing how you end up with a product that is far superior to the assembled garbage that is typically sold online. My advice, buy the clips, wire, etc. and builtd your own to save yourself a headache later on down the road! ... show more

These clips were sorted into little bags which was a nice touch. The rubber is good quality and thick. The clips are quite strong so they won't be moving around once you clip them. The clips and rubber covers are nice and better than I expected. However, the product description was somewhat misleading. I expected to receive 20 alligator clips of each color, 100 alligator clips total. As you can see from the photo, I received 10 each, that's 50 total alligator clips. If you carefully read through the product description you'll see the seller is including the rubber cover as part of the those pieces. 50 pieces of alligator clips and 50 pieces of rubber covers (10 of each color). I took one star off for the vague description which lead me to believe there were 100 alligator clips included in this pack. I haven't used these yet but I think they'll work great. Im giving these 5 star based on value. As mentioned in previous reviews there are some quality problems but nothing overly concerning. A few of the rubber sleeves were not cut or are slightly deformed but having so many options for this price is fantastic. The clips take solder well and theey do exactly what I need them to do. If you need precision clips where the teeth line up perfectly you should pay the price for precision material. ... show more

I've ordered this brand before, and had pretty good results. These seem to have better grip and control than some of the other brands -- many of the others have a convex curve on the lever one presses to open the jaws, so they tend to rotate sideways when squeezed, most infuriating. These are much flatter and easier to open. The latest batch, however, seem to be a bit lacking in quality control. On several of the clips I've assembled, the rivets holding them together are not peened properly (or at all), so the clips will not actuate properly or will fall apart after a few uses. I've been able to fix the problem easily enough, but I shouldn't have to. ... show more
