These lights recommended by amazon put out a large amount of RF exceeding FCC standards. I took them apart and there was no attempt to protect them from making a ton on radio/tv noise. The noise can get into anything. There are much better brands to buy that aren't as cheaply made as these lights are...or as noisy. I've written maybe three bad reviews in my life but this one certainly deserves one. ************************************************************************************* Update, After I wrote my review I was contacted by the company and they said they are redesigning the light to meet FCC requirements. I found this a great step forward and I will rereview when I get the lights. The fact that the company was so responsive was very positive. ********************************************************************************************************* The company did indeed redesign their lights and now they are the quietest I have tested. I could not tell the presence of the lights at all, whereas before the broad spectrum RF noise was everywhere. You can buy these lights with confidence knowing that they are unlikely to interfere with TV, WiFi, radio or bluetooth. I am an electrician and own my own company. Whenever customers want recessed lights I usually buy commercial electric LED trims but whenever there isn’t enough room for a regular recessed light I buy these and they never fail. They’re very reliable and they look amazing everytime. I highly recommend these can lights to anyone who needs recessed lights. They’re sleek and most of the light is glass and has a one inch rim around the entire light. These lights look good wherever they are installed. I installed these lights around my home (16 pieces) around the back of my house and as of now they are all still working and not one light has “burnt” out. If anyone is looking for recessed lights these are the ones to buy. The best thing about these recessed lights is the fact that it has quick connect connectors which makes them easier to install rather then having to use wire nuts. ... show more

    • They're OKAY, but they flicker (UPDATED)

I first installed these (I believe 16 of them) on a few different dimmers, and they flickered. I learned that it must be a dimmer approved by the maker of these lights, so I had to trash those dimmers and get new ones. Not the end of world. The support team from the manufacturer has contacted me and helped me to figure out the problem, and has even offered to walk me through the various components of the design to help rid the system of any flickering at all. At least I know that if I were to purchase this brand again, I'd have helped if I needed it through their great support. ... show more

We had our home built over a year ago. This was not a tracked home, but rather a custom one built by a builder who does spec and custom. When the time came to decide on lighting, we met with the electrician in person and walked through the house. When we got to our kids bedrooms and the guest bedroom, the electrician told us that he usually just does a ceiling fan with a light. We asked if that was sufficient, he told us that it was, and that is what he had in his own home. Worried about the budget skyrocketing, we said "fine". After we moved in, we were so dissapointed in the lighting in the kids bedrooms. Even with a lamp in addition to the ceiling fan light, the rooms were dim and depressing. We lived with it for a year when one day I stumbled upon these lights. My greatest concern in adding LED lights was the possibility of running into a truss and having to cut a new hole and patch the one I had just cut. I was worried about the ceiling looking like a hack job. Well these lights are so thin, that even if you do hit a joist or truss when installing these it is no problem. They literally fit within the thickness of the drywall. I'm no electrician, but I understand household wiring. These were easy to install, and I spliced them to the existing wiring in the ceiling fan, so when the switch is flipped for the fan light, all the lights come on. I was able to do these myself in a couple of hours per room. Make sure you have a hole saw that is 4-1/8 or 105mm in diameter. It will make life so much easier. I bought an inexpensive one from Amazon made by Laniakea. Remember, 4-1/8” diameter. The fit will be a teeny bit tight, but it will work perfectly. As for the final result, they are fantastic. They look perfect, they are sleek and unobtrusive, and the 3000k light is bright and natural looking. Not too "blue". I personally hate the higher kelvin (daylight) color temps. Buy without hesitation. They are amazing. ... show more
