  • easy to use and configure and very fast
I love it, easy to use and configure. AdGuard home is a nice touch and having my VPN networkwide is awesome. Even Tail Scale works, which surprised me! Network speeds are very good with the 2.5gbit ports, and having alternate ways to keep an internet connection with USB 4 and 5g modems is way more than a normal home user would need lol, but very nice to have the option. It has way more features so read about it to make an informed decision. ... show more

  • Router that really works
Bout 1/2 hr to 45 min to set up. Had to go to website to set up! I have i3 fios internet & needed something that would cover the multiple devices in my home. My son games & daughter works from home. Have multiple phones, iPads, gaming systems, cameras, & tv’s! This works great! Am very impressed with this system! Speed signal strength range, streaming work really well. Little bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Cheaper than the more expensive ones & works just as good! ... show more

  • High quality router! Check OpenWRT compatibility list though if you want vanilla OpenWRT
Very fast. I get an absolutely solid connection that penetrates all areas of my double wide trailer home and most of the surrounding yard as well. The firmware is super easy to set up and well polished. The only knock I have isn't even the fault of the router itself. I kinda thought I could flash it with vanilla OpenWRT firmware, but this model is NOT currently supported by OpenWRT for the vanilla software so you will have to use the stock firmware that comes on device. I can't hold it against them though because it sounds like it isn't their fault and the current firmware is likely to be supported for a long time. I hope the current US "Router bans" get brushed aside eventually so that I can go with this brand again for my next router in a few years, but maybe I'll check the OpenWRT compatibility list next time around so my review can be more glowing. ... show more

  • Easy to use and works great
Great router! Only downside is it could have a faster processor inside to support SQM at higher speeds… only important for nerds :) Working great on my 500Mbit internet

  • Not a great product - See review
Discovered after purchase the OpenWRT that was installed on the unit was a heavily modified version, WITH NO DOCUMENTATION OF THE MODIFICATIONS. Attempted contact with their tech support was a joke. Had I known these facts prior to purchase, I'd NEVER have bought it. Since I'm out of the Amazon return window, I'm going to sell the unit, likely at a loss and go back to my old reliable router. ... show more

  • Great WiFI 7 Home Router with VPN
I had a Calix WiFi dual band router that was supplied by my internet provider. It worked fine but it had a stripped down interface and I needed to add some routing rules that were not available. I had a GL.iNet travel router that I was very impressed with so I decided to try the BE6500. I couldn't be happier. It has a full interface, supports Wireguard VPN Server/Client, and it is FAST! Signal strength and Range of the WiFi are outstanding and I get full ISP bandwidth when doing speed tests over WiFi. It's even faster on the internal LAN network. Highly recommended. ... show more

Great product. Does exactly what it advertise. I initially had a hard time installing thinking it was the router, come to find out l did not follow the instructions. I am glad I upgraded!

  • Hefty unit for such a compact unit and not a bad thing!
I always went with the old rule that heavy electronics, in general, do last longer and is of quality. I was shocked how heavy the package was and thought it had a heavy power adapter but it's the unit itself. It's built like a tank, feels very rugged, and the antenna is nice and thick. It didn't take long to hook this up to my ONT for my new fiber internet which the ISP needed to register. I ran each port and confirmed it has over 2 gig up and down. My computer, the main TV, and another router that will be an access point is getting hardwired with new cables after the test but want to make them future proof. I know there's a Tri-band version for $30 more but wanted to see how this brand was as I never heard it before but people say it's a great brand. The setup was a breeze using the app. It actually made it easier than plugging it into my PC. I also noticed a great improvement in signal reach! The router is placed on the spot where my TP-Link BE9300 used to be under the TV in our living room. When I'm in the shed about 100 ft away between at least two walls, it would barely pick up the WiFi 6 signal. Now it's a full bar. I'm not complaining at all 😄 Very happy with the purchase! ... show more
