I broke mine. My fault. It's only supposed to be ran for about 10-15 minutes at a time, then let cool. I ran it for almost 60 minutes straight trying to inflate four tires on my father's truck (235/55R19 from16psi to 35psi); a truck that was left dormant since neither of my parents really drive anymore. It filled as much could reasonably be expected in the given time, breaking when I was at about 32psi on the last tire. Although I didn't buy a direct replacement (the retractable 12v cord isn't my favorite), I will say that cord length and overall robustness of product is good... especially if you follow manufacturer's instructions (which I did not).

I purchased this product mid Oct 24. I didn't use it immediately but once the temperatures started to drop, I finally pulled it out to inflate my tires. The 1st time using it, I noticed it took longer to inflate my tires compared to my old unit. This wasn't a major issue. The 2nd time I used it, I only inflated 1 tire without issue. Today I went to inflate my tires again, after the 1st tire inflation it stopped working completely. I confirmed my outlet was working and I changed the fuse. No luck, it won't turn back on and now I'm outside of my return date. UPDATE: Although the 1st inflator stopped working, the company contacted me and explained their product warranty. Once I provided additional information, they sent me a replacement inflator without hassle. I have since increased my overall star rating due to the exceptional level of customer service. I'm positive the replacement will exceed my expectations. This is definitely a company I would consider purchasing from in the future.

Was first attracted to this item by the attractive design. It certainly looks nice — but this unit also has practical features. The retracting power cord is dandy. The wrap-around channel to stow the hose is useful. The compartment to hold the various tips is practical. The bag for storing the unit is useful. The digital readout is accurate and automatic cut-off is brilliant. Bought this new pump because my faithful, old pump finally croaked. Happy to now have this sleek, well-designed new pump. I just had a nice fill fest. Aired up 3 bikes, wheelbarrow, hand truck, and gorilla cart. Quick and easy — and I didn’t have to sit there forever while staring at a pressure guage. Very satisfied. Highly recommend. And, I will be looking at other products from Giraffe Tools.

Topped off 4 tires on my car and it worked fine @ 32psi. Tried to top off my motorhome tires @ 100psi. It did 1 tire and stopped working! Don't waste your money!

This was actually a gift from my father. I had an older one by a different brand that took forever to fill so I was hesitant when he gave me this. Let me tell you though, it works just as fast as a commercial machine! I was shocked and I'm so thankful he got me this.

This is the best portable air compressor I have ever used in a car. The retractable cord is awesome, no more getting knots in the cord when is thrown in the back of the car. The hose and attachment fit easily on the tire, and also lay down well in the grooves on the side of the compressor so that it is not flopping around. It works much faster than my husband air compressor, and it came with a bag to put it in! I like that it beeps the horn when the tire is almost full so you can wait inside while it fills up the tire. Unfortunately my new car last year came with a tire that has a slow leak and it. Everything is warrantied except for the tires! Since they are brand-new tires, I cannot see replacing the tire for a slow leak. Therefore I find myself putting air in my tire every 3 weeks. With this air compressor it is no longer a chore and no big deal! I have easily gotten 5 years worth of use in 1 year, and every time I use it I walk away with a smile.

I have a number of these types of units. Some larger than others, some with built-in batteries, others without. There has not been any that I could say I would fully rely on to pump to a particular pressure accurately. I know this since I have a calibrated, NIST certified gauge. Most portable pumps are off a couple of psi. It is for this reason that I would pump the tire up using the proper setting and then measure the pressure with an accurate gauge. Afterward, you can then adjust the pressure with a slight offset to adjust for the inaccuracy, bringing it to the proper pressure. For most pumps, I did find them to be rather consistent, with just a little bracket of inaccuracy of about 1 psi on average. This pump definitely falls into the category of most, but a little more toward needing a larger offset. Having the plug go into the plug in the car removes the requirement of you needing to keep the battery charged like some other types - i prefer without the battery. My wife and daughter prefer the one with the battery. The difference in speed between this and the little battery ones is noticeable, with this one being much faster, which is what I prefer. My wife and daughter prefer the type that does not need to be plugged in so they can move it around easier. Further, for me, I have jumper pack that I keep with me, so I can plug the compressor into it and not need to worry about the car battery or need to keep the car running to ensure it does not drain (which I have never had occur when I have used the car's plug). Lastly, as far as modifications, I like the cord rewind but worry that one day it may break. I would like to have a manual rewind option as a backup. Also, I would like the automatic turnoff to be at least twice as long - I find it annoying to need to reset it when moving from one tire to another. None the less, I really do like the unit, but gave it 4 stars rather than five due to the larger inaccuracy and the automatic turnoff being premature in my opinion.
