I am so very impressed with this water hose and sprayer. The sprayer has a control for the degree of spraying power, and it fits well in the hand. The hose itself, is what we like the most, though. It moves and curves just like a regular hose but, without kinking. It's lightweight too, and is extremely flexible and durable. Before I got this metal water hose, my neighbor's 6 month-old pup was coming into our yard and chewing on our hose. We have already gone through 3 water hoses like this on occasions when we've forgotten to put them in the garage when not in use, so the pup couldn't get to them. When we got this hose, we deliberately didn't put it in the garage though, to see how it held up when the pup chewed on it. When we saw the pup out running around, we watched, and sure enough the pup started chewing on it. After a few moments he started thrashing it around, determined to make it give and accept his needle-like teeth. It wasn't long though, until the pup lost interest and ran off to find something else to tear up. We inspected the hose, and it was unharmed--no holes, indents, or any damage whatsoever. It was unbelievable! Now, we can leave our water hose out all of the time, just like we did before that mischievous, little, cute puppy came along. This metal water hose is amazing! I'll never use another hose that isn't metal. We love it!

I’m loving the Giraffe Tools Stainless Steel Garden Hose; what a great replacement for the rubber one I’ve been using, now thrown out. We live in the desert and the summer heat and sun has trashed it. I’ll be interested to see how the Giraffe hose fares. To start with, it’s much lighter than its rubber counterpart; making it considerably less awkward to handle. As the seller asserts, it doesn’t kink and moreover, it recoils more conveniently than rubber, facilitated by its slick, metal linked surface. Then there are the brass-colored aluminum fittings, female on one end and male on the other, providing excellent grip for connecting and disconnecting the hose. Also included is a ball valve of the same material, provided basically as an on/off switch between the hose and the included spray nozzle. The included spray nozzle is brightly colored rubber and plastic; the black parts are rubber, including the handle, making it comfortable in the hand. There are eight settings, each providing a different spray pattern, with a firm detent and click when seated. Furthermore, there’s a thumb lever for controlling the spray pressure. Frankly, I hadn’t expected such a quality accessory. Of course, durability is an unknown variable a week into ownership, and I’m hoping it can withstand the 120-degree summer heat, probably reaching temperatures in direct sun of 135 – 150 degrees. We’ll see. But for now, I have no criticisms of the Giraffe Metal Garden Hose. It looks better than a rubber hose, is lighter than a rubber hose, the fixtures are an upgrade from the typical rubber hose, and it is far easier to handle than a rubber hose. Besides, I like the name; Giraffe. A Note: I did need to the hose tightened into the rubber seal at the water connection so that it wouldn't leak, but once tightened, not a drop. Included with the hose and spray nozzle are the ball valve, extra sealing gaskets, and some Teflon tape, that I didn’t find I needed.

This hose is great and has all the best features, such as: * No kinks * Durable * Comes with an on/off valve adapter * Comes with extra rubber washers and plumbers tape to ensure no leaks This hose feel high-quality, and I predict it will last for years. I got the 100 ft option, which is great to reach most areas of my yard, but even if I need more length the adapter it comes with makes it easy to extend. The stainless steel feels strong and can’t even kink if you try (see photos). No more worrying about snagging your hose on corners or sharp rocks. This hose is sure to withstand any puncturing. The only downside in my opinion is the spray nozzle. It’s the only plastic part and doesn’t feel as well-made as the hose itself. However, that’s totally okay with me because I already have 2 alternative metal nozzles I use and love. I still think this is worth the value for the hose itself, especially if you don’t want to buy a new one each season. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

This hose is very durable and surprisingly flexible, considering the stainless steel outer covering, but there are a few things that are overstated. First, the hose is not 5/8”, unless you measure the outside diameter, and that is not how hoses are measured. The inner diameter of the couplings are about 3/8, and from what I can see, the inside diameter of the actual hose is about the same. The package comes with an additional ball valve with hose threads, but if the nozzle works properly, I don’t know why that is needed. Included is a small roll of teflon tape, which is also completely useless, since garden hoses are sealed by the rubber washers, not with teflon tape. We aren’t plumbing a house here. A package of extra rubber washers is included too, which is a nice touch. The nozzle has numerous spray options, a well-designed thumb flow control, and it feels good ergonomically. The actual hose is probably the first true non-kink hose I’ve ever seen, and it probably holds up well to sunlight too. The manufacture boasts a 300 psi burst strength (21 Bar), but I don’t know how to test that without destroying the hose. I’ve noticed that there are a number of manufactures of these hoses on the market now, so it may be worthwhile to shop around. My initial usage showed that there were no leaks, and the fittings held tightly. Overall, I would consider this a good hose for driveway use like washing cars, equipment or even pets, but the flow rate may be limited for higher demand uses like lawn watering.
