I bought this hoping the suction cups would stick to something in our house... laminate floor, tile, vinyl, or concrete porch. But only maybe 2 suction cups would stick at a time. Couldn't get enough of them working consistently to keep the base on the ground. So... that meant we spent about 2.5 hours filling up the base spoonful by spoonful with one bag of sand. Maybe if you have SUPER dry sand it can go faster for you. But me and my 14-yr son had to shove the sand in a quarter-size hole with our fingers -- a funnel didn't help. One bag of sand was enough to keep it upright. Once it was all put together, he had a lot of fun smacking the very firm bag. The foam is firm and works well so far for punching and kicking -- he was punching as hard as he could. The spring provides nice resistance and bounce-back. We will see if it holds up over time. Ive always wanted a punching bag to decompress with and i finally pulled the trigger and got one..this ones great but after a solid 3weeks with it the wear and tear are noticiable...mid punch id have to stop and adjust because the padding slides down or the head of it is like a rock'em-sock'em robot and keeps moving up and even more out of position...for the price is alright but id suggest one just a bit more expensive for quality..this was a great starter thou ... show more

I am actually looking forward to using this BUT it is taking me forever to fill with sand. I live in an apartment so I figured water wasn’t a good idea on case of a leak. So I purchased sand. Well since the base is weirdly made, the sand doesn’t fill up all nice and neat. Nooooo! It builds up so it literally is taking a spoonful of sand so it won’t back up. The media could not be loaded. My partner and I gained quite a bit of weight from staying indoors during this pandemic so we finally decided to commit to at-home workouts. Initially, we were debating back and forth on purchasing a punching bag that comes with a stand like this one or a heftier one that hangs from the ceiling but we’re glad we opted for this one simply because it ultimately saved us a lot of space in our apartment. I was afraid that the stand for this wouldn’t be heavy enough to withhold some of my faulty punches (still learning how to box) and tip over but I was pretty surprised that it was sturdy and we were able to get a pretty good workout in! I definitely recommend following their guide to filling the base with sand because we tried both sand and water and found that the base filled with sand felt more durable and made less noise ... show more
