    • Beautiful, future proof tiny powerful motherboard!!
Awesome little board, very fast and powerful. Requieres several drivers to be installed, the front facing M.2 ssd socket only works if you have an 11th gen processor installed (they haven't been released yet). So in order to save time and headaches, install your NVMe ssd on the back socket, and it will be recognized and work instantly. The memory is recognized and works without any problems whatsoever. Just enable XMP profile on the Bios and that's all. The HDMI 2.0 port is advertised as 4k@60Hz capable, but this is only if you have a 11th gen CPU installed on the socket. I discovered that my i9 10900k does not support 4k@60Hz over HDMI connection, that's unacceptable, but it is Intel's fault, not Gigabyte. The LEDs on the back of the board are configurable, but with some minor software bugs, for ex. The wave lighting effect setting does not work at all, so you can put configure those LEDs to pulsate, circle through colors and some music lighting effects, but the nice rainbow effect (the wave) does not work when selected. Hopefully this will be addressed by Gigabyte on future software updates. The BIOS are current, there's a single initial version that hasn't been updated as to the writing of this review. There are plenty of propietary fan connectors that come with their adapters included. To reset the Bios, you need to short two jumpers on the motherboard, I still don't get why is it such a difficult or expensive solution to simply add a push button to do this function, instead of having people looking for a small screwdriver or something small metallic to short two jumpers in order to reset the Bios. But that's not something that would take a star aways from this review, after all, almost every MB manufacturer does the same. I do recommend this tiny but fast and powerful Mboard to future proof yourself, at a reasonable price and with very nice features and specs, there's simply nothing better right now, and in the future, this will still be a good option that will provide everything the more expensive brands do. ... show more

    • Works as expected and no issues after a year
Replaced the motherboard after bricking my prior (not a Gigabyte) about a year ago and have had no issues of any kind. Does what it is supposed to do, which is about all I can ask.

pretty good board. yes it is super expensive for a mob but being that its mini itx it not bad. fan headers are in a good place. no trouble installing the board or using it. however for such an expensive board it has no io headers, which isn't necessary but something i would expect from a high end board like this one. some reviews say that the bios is slow. i have had no issues with bios at all. gigabyte isn't my first choice, but given that ASUS does have a decent mob for 11th gen and mini itx i have to say that this is overall a pretty good board, albeit a little expensive ... show more

If your build doesn't demand latest and greatest, and your trying to keep your case size reasonable, a small case mated with a mini sized board is your answer. Remember the "mini" board is smaller than the "micro" board. Yeh we know this makes no sense but it is what it is. Gigabyte make some of the best motherboards available. They certainly have a large selection - the count of available boards is now up to 1,772 Intel based and 703 AMD based so the first job is decide what you want to build. Then use the Gigabyte website to narrow it down. Once you have a few choices you can compare them and with a final decision come back to Amazon, as they have the best prices. We have used this particular motherboard 6-7 times in builds with success every time. It has everything you need to build a powerful computer. If you do need the latest version they make a Z690 Aorus Ultra with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory in the same size. ... show more

Package arrived dead on arrival. Ordered new through Amazon but box was clearly opened and missing fan header adapters. Tried booting with CPU and RAM installed but motherboard did not start at all. If you’re looking to get ahold of this motherboard, your best bet is to avoid Amazon and try ordering directly from the manufacturer. ... show more

    • Very Easy to Work With (Except if using an AIO)
Just gotta be aware that the front M.2 slot only works with 11th gen Intel chips, even though the board itself will be functional just fine with a 10th gen chip. The M.2 slot in the back works fine regardless. There's labels printed onto the board itself, which is pretty great too. The heatsink layout is nice, though it makes installing an AIO really hard. M-ITX boards are crazy expensive comparatively so to find one that's only $200 is a bit of a steal. I paired this with my trust i9-10850K and I have no complaints. The BIOS is well laid out and intuitive though I would recommend disabling the setting that tries to get you to install their garbage software on every boot. ... show more

    • Very happy with this mobo but BIOS lacks fix for a serious Intel firmware bug
I've been prototyping several of these motherboards for several months for use in products. I have been quite happy with them. However I hit a severe problem: Some of Intel's 11 generation processors (such as the i5-11600) have a firmware bug that must be fixed via a BIOS update provided by the motherboard manufacturer. This bug is manifested by errors of the form (which will vary depending on the OS): [Hardware Error]: section_type: Firmware Error Record Reference [Hardware Error]: Firmware Error Record Type: SOC Firmware Error Record Type2 [Hardware Error]: Revision: 2 [Hardware Error]: Record Identifier: 8f87f311-c998-4d9e-a0c4-6065518c4f6d It is an intermittent bug but when it hits it always results in a system crash. My experience is that this bug strikes mainly when running at least one virtual machine. (I do not remember crashes on these boards when I was not running virtual machines.) This error is known and discussed on Intel and vendor forums. It afflicts several motherboard makers. Some have updated their BIOS, apparently Gigabyte has not (most recent BIOS at time of this writing is F7.) ... show more
