I purchased three of these gliding chairs and assembled them with good results. The reason why I did not give this five stars is because one of the holes in one of my chair sets was never drilled. So rather than repack and send it back for a replacement, I went to Lowes and purchased a metal 5/16" bit for $13 and drilled the hole myself. This was easy for me but many would not want to attempt to do what I did nor would they want to spend the extra money. Why the piece was missing a drilled hole, I have no clue.

We ordered the brown color and weren't sure how we would like it but it is actually a very pretty, warm color. When I got the box, I decided to try to assemble it myself. I'm 69 years old and even though the instructions weren't the best, I was able to easily find and assemble the parts. I had most of it together and was at the point where I had to attach the seat to the base. That was the only part where I needed another person to do the other side at the same time. I may have been able to do it myself but I didn't need to as help showed up just at that time. Once put together, it was very comfortable and can be placed very close to the wall. It's just a great piece of furniture and very well made. All parts went together easily and I had no issues at all. Love this piece! Not sure how it will hold up with time, but initially appears to be a great piece.

**Update **. I went from a 2.5 star up to 5 star. It's still not the best, but has held up very well. Easy to wipe off or move around. I didn't bring it in the last 2 winters & its still looks new. Completely satisfied. It's fine for the price, but was hoping for a little more. Not comfortable, cheaply made, but will be fine for "extra" seating. All the screw caps have already come off or broke off. Think grocery store outdoor furniture.

Took a star away for lack of clear instructions.This close to 70 lady figured it out though.First it arrived in perfect condition.Paint finish was near perfect,no scratches or rust.All the holes lined up and all the hardware was there.The seat and back were already attached so assembly was very quick.Doesn't sit too close to the ground because it's actually made for adults.Nice wide seats and the back is very comfortable and supports your back.Smooth easy glide that is very relaxing.If you don't have a socket set borrow one to assemble it.I used the incredibly small wrench to put it together then called my son to tighten everything good with his socket wrench.Could have saved my arthritic hands a lot of pain.I am looking forward to hours of relaxing on this glider and highly recommend it.

The instructions are easy to follow so it is not too hard to assemble by yourself but would be helpful to have a 2nd set of hands to hold it while screwing it together. I did read where one commenter said that the bar at the bottom was uncomfortable however, I believe that person has assembled the seat backwards because mine does not have the bar. I love this glider!
