I bought this as a versatile solution for my teenagers' "man cave" with TV, video games and friend space. It is perfect for that purpose allowing us to place it on the floor in front of the couch so some can sit on couch while others sit on this unit. First, the unit was a bit smaller than I anticipated. I will chalk that up to not reading close enough but be sure to pay attention to measurements. It fits 2 people, but relatively close together. I LOVE the way it folds and lays down into a bed for kids' friends that stay the night to have a comfortable place to lie down. I am little worried about the mechanism that clicks to hold the back upright. It seems like there is a lot of stress on that but I haven't had a problem in the first month and a half of use. The couch itself was excellent. Just the right size for two adults to sit side by side on the floor and watch TV. The back rest seemed sturdy and reclined just as advertised. The cushions were soft and comfortable for a floor couch (which will generally be firmer than a regular couch). It was perfect for what I wanted in all those regards. Yes, as some of the reviews have stated, it has a bit of a chemically smell, but I wasn't concerned about that because those sorts of smells always go away after a while in my experience. The ONLY thing that just didn't work for me, was the fabric. Now, keep in mind that this is a very specific issue that will only matter to certain people. Most people, I imagine, won't have the same issues I had with the fabric. But for me, I'm very particular about my fabrics, because I have sensitive, dry skin. Certain kinds of microfiber and sherpa and silk (and other types of fabric) don't work for me because they 'cling' to my dry skin and irritate it. I'm usually okay with suede (even composite suede, like the stuff this couch is made of), but this was one of the few types of suede that still bothered me. It felt a bit sticky and 'squeaky' almost... like that uncomfortable squeaky feeling when you've used soap without any sort of lotion in it. It just irritated my skin too much to keep. Which was a shame, because I loved it in every other way. Again, this is a dry, sensitive skin issue. I've seen plenty of people in the reviews say that they think the fabric is soft. I did end up returning the couch, and customer support was absolutely excellent. The return process was a bit lengthy but very easy and pain free, and everyone I spoke to was polite and considerate. I gave 3 stars for design. I wanted to give more, but I donā€™t think this will be one of those life long pieces that will have many years of good use. It needs improvement with the way the pillows lay, maybe some Velcro to keep the bottom part attached to the back piece, because it makes a gap in the lower back creating a need for extra pillow support. The fabric is soft, but I believe the stuffing wonā€™t last and eventually it will start to become more flat or out of place. Another thing I didnā€™t like is how you adjust the back rest itā€™s just weird and awkward. In all, itā€™s great for little kids, with light bodies if you want the shape to last long. ... show more

I purchased this floor couch after a lot of research comparing like products. This met the dimensions, color, and what I thought would work well in my home office without spending $1k+ to meet my needs. This sofa did fit the area where I measured this to fill and the color is fine (gray). It also looks cute set up. But realistically the ā€œsofaā€ is so small. My 8-yr-old daughter and I canā€™t sit on it at the same time. The padding is thin and uncomfortable if sitting for more than 30 mins. Iā€™ve tried piling pillows around and on the back area to make that more plush and comfortable - nothing works. It just feels hard and awkward. All in all I was excited about this piece but itā€™s just awful. I donā€™t recommend it except for maybe childrenā€™s areas. Iā€™m planning to give this to my brother for my nieces to use in their playroom. Definitely not recommended for adult use. ... show more

I think this is the first item I bought on Amazon that I got a huge buyer's remorse. It was my fault too for not reading the description carefully. It's actually very small in reality. Sure, it holds 2 people but it looks and feels a lot smaller than a loveseat. I do say when rolling out it's pretty comfortable to lay down and watch movies but probably not for sleeping thru the night. Sitting up I found it's not very comfy partly because the back support would incline a bit. I would like to return it but this is from Amazon's product so it's gonna be a pain to return.
