A nice espresso machine. I’ve been wanting to have one in my home for a long time, and I’m happy to own it. However, I’m struggling to operate it more than I ever expected though I’m not sure if it’s because of me or the machine. Some buttons don’t seem to work, no matter how much I try to figure them out. Additionally, when grinding coffee, it’s quite difficult to get the desired amount. Sometimes it over grinds, and other times it under grinds. Yes, it seems like a durable and sturdy espresso machine, but if I can’t use it properly, it’s not very useful.

Super easy to set up and to use, everything is well explained in the booklet - I feel like a barista every morning when I make my latte! Not too big to fit any kitchen counter, the design is aesthetic and it makes delicious coffee! Worth every $$, I know I will keep this coffee machine for years! Totally recommend GIANNA!

The media could not be loaded. I was excited to get an espresso machine for home to play with and learn on. Yes, learn on, so take the review with a grain of salt as I'm new to espresso. However, I have used a professional espresso machine recently with an instructor learning how to do it properly. I hoped that this would be a good one to practice on until I could afford a professional one. This is the only lower-end espresso machine I have used, so I don't have anything else in its class to compare it to. The first issue that I ran into was that one time when I grind for 15 seconds, I come up with 16g. Another time in a set of 4 tries, I had 19g. That's a big difference for consistency and proper pulls. Another issue I had is frothing the milk. I know this takes practice, but I learned from the instructor how to listen for certain sounds for incorporating air and when to stop incorporating air and just steaming the milk with a vortex. I was doing decent (not great, but fairly well) on the professional machine. On this machine, it whistles the entire time it's running no matter how the wand is in the milk, and it doesn't make much of a vortex to make the milk silky. Finally, in cleaning up, I had an extremely hard time getting the basket out of the portafilter. There is no lip or anything else to get under to be able to get it out and clean under it. I finally do manage to get it out, but it's very difficult and haven't actually figured out how I get it, I just keep working at it until I finally get it. This Espresso machine does create espresso and steams (but not really froths) your milk. Play with it enough, and you can probably get to where you can create a relatively consistent shot. Good luck.

It took me a few days to figure out how to properly grind the coffee to the right size and how much ground coffee to add to the portafilter. I am really enjoying my morning espresso and my kids love the cappuccino.

I love this coffee maker - it is well worth the money they are asking. My one warning is this is very large and heavy. It is a solid and well made machine for any coffee lover. I love the details it has while not compromising the ability to make a great manual cup of coffee or latte.
