After reading some other reviews I wanted to post some truth about this inverter. First the included cable meant to connect the inverter to the battery is not thick enough. In one of my included pictures I cut the end off the included red inverter cable to an USA made black 8 gauge solar cable. I'm guessing the included cable is 6 gauge. The reason a 6 gauge cable is not thick enough is mostly because of voltage drop. If you are pulling close to 1200 watts the voltage the inverter sees from the battery will drop. The inverter can't handle handle a voltage that is too low from the battery. So thicker power cables really help keeping the voltage higher. I used 1 gauge welding cable, USA made. 1 of my included pictures shows 3 different copper wires, a 1 gauge, 2 gauge and the included red cable. I managed to get the inverter to run for about 30 minutes at 1200 watts before it overloaded with a over heated error. The temperature of the air around it was 66 degrees F. Which is 19 degrees C. Also I read from a number of other reviews that the included cable was aluminum. So I cut the end of the cable off and it was copper. Was you can see in one of the pictures. Enjoy! ... show more

A week ago, I had the inverter go out in our guest cabin. The problem was I had guests staying. The normal brand I buy wanted 5 days to ship to my address. Also, I did not want to buy a cheap inverter from Harbor freight. The main reason for buying this inverter over my normal reliable electric inverter was the 1 day shipping. Install was very easy. I do like the remote, which I installed so power can be shut off to inverter while the batteries are still charging. The inverter itself has a small form factor and is half the size of my 24v 1500 watt previous unit. It has only 1 fan to cool the device -vs- 2 that my old one had. It seems to run the load without the fan coming on constantly. Although, I have never used this brand before, it appears well built and is handing all the normal electric load the other one would have. So far 2 thumbs 👍. ... show more

Anyone who is looking for a solid inverter cannot go wrong with Giandel. I purchased and installed a 3000 watt inverter from them over 2 years ago with no issues. I’ve been using this one for 8 months in my RV I renovated. It’s flawless. Runs everything, from my air fryer oven to simple lights. My only gripe with this is it has an over volt preset of 28v that cannot be adjusted. While 28v isn’t bad and a good level, I would like to charge my batteries a little higher. The first unit I received was not taken out of the box for about 8 months. Shortly after I put it in service it went into a overload condition and would not recover. This was their 24v 4000 watt unit and I was only powering a refrigerator using 230 watts. After I sent pics of what the unit was doing they sent me an identical replacement unit. It has worked great for 2 years now. I still have the old unit and having been an electronics technician for over 50 years thought I might try to repair it, but probably won't because the brains of the unit is probably bad and not repairable. Anyway their customer service was great and I will purchase their products again if I need something that fits my needs. ... show more

In operation for about a month now, no problems except Chinese instructions as usual are difficult to follow and led me to contact tech service who responded quickly and resolved my set up / programming issue. Somewhere along I missed a 12 to 24v setting. I have the MT50 remote meter and as quite common, settings for charging between the CC and this are confusing. Which is the default controller? I assume its the CC and that is difficult to program and the programming instructions leave much to be desired for a poorly intuitive pensioner like me. Give me good step by step instructions and I’m all set. ... show more

My Giandel inverter runs around the clock, quietly and reliably in an off-grid solar-powered workshop. I've found no other 4000W, 24V inverter on the market with so many power-plug outlets and features at this price anywhere! I'm happy to report Tech Support was very responsive to my questions via email. When a suspected wiring malfunction with my batteries occurred, my original inverter was damaged and within 10 days, Giandel delivered (at their cost) a replacement inverter. This model requires operator intervention whenever it shuts down (e.g. battery level gets too low) It has a soft switch on the enclosure and another soft switch on the wired remote start device.     • OUCH! PS-2000KAR has less than 1 second of surge power.

I bought the PS-2000KAR and had a devil of a time figuring out why it couldn't start my 1865 watt radial arm saw since the PS-2000KAR provides 4000 watts of surge power (the saw requires 3500 watts during its 2-second start-up period before then dropping to 1865 watts). The saw runs fine if I start it on PUD/utility/shore power and then switch over to the PS-2000KAR. I finally understood the problem when, in email contact with tech support, I was told, "About the peak power 4000w, in fact, the peak power can only last less than 1 second." DOH! Maybe I'm spoiled by my other inverter, a PowerJack 3000 with 10 seconds of surge power, but for the PS-2000KAR to have less than 1 second of surge/peak power seems to me to render the surge/peak power capability of the PS-2000KAR an empty suit. Tech support was, therefore, quite accurate in further adding, "your 1865w saw needs a 4000w(rated) inverter at least to run." Why? Because the surge/peak duration of the PS-2000KAR is virtually useless. Due to other complications, I am outside Giandel's generous 18-month warranty period and so will have to sell this PS-2000KAR and find a brand with similar operating wattage but a better surge/peak duration.
