The Power Strip from Ghome is a well thought out and designed product that lets you control up to 6 electrical Outlets and 3 USB Ports, which consist of 2 USB type A and 1 USB type C ports. The Power Strip is compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi ONLY, offers surge protection, and you can turn your devices on or off by voice or through one of the many applications that you can run from your phone or PC, such as Alexa, Gosund, and Smart Things. I also like that you can mount the device to a wall (see picture) or to the side of a desk, depending on what you have plugged into the power strip. Having the capability to turn on a set of devices made it very easy to control my home theater, so the right equipment turns on depending on the activity I am preparing to watch. For example, if I am watching my FIOS Cable TV, then I power on my FIOS Cable Box, Onkyo AVR, Panasonic TV, and it turns off my Roku and Blu-ray DVD players. By allowing you to only power on the equipment that you need to be able to watch the devices you need to use, the power strip is also saving you money and the life of your other equipment that can remain powered off. I have two minor suggestions for a future version of this power strip, but not having them does not subtract from the overall high rating that I have given to this product’s current design. The first suggestion would be to provide the capability to allow the user to be able to turn off a device, without turning off the associated power strip outlet for the device. This functionality would be very useful. For example, it would be nice to setup the time on my TV once, which will be preserved when the TV is no longer required to be on. Currently, when I tell Alexa to turn off my Panasonic TV, the outlet is turned off and the time settings in the TV are lost. I don’t know how hard it would be to implement this type of capability, but if you could do it easily, I would highly recommend you do it. The only other suggestion would be to offer the Power Strip in a metal enclosure.

This has been great, when someone is playing their radio too loud I can just turn it off with my phone. I bought another one so I can reset my modem and router without having to reach way up on the top shelf. The power strip looks nice and each outlet has a blue light when turned on, it does make a clicking sound when turning the outlets back on. Getting it connected to WiFi was no problem and the app works well, you can turn on and off each individual outlet and the USB ports are all on or all off. You can name each outlet in the app as well. In the computer world this is called a PDU and they cost far more than $35 so this is a great deal.

Update: It keeps losing track of time or something. It's twice now in two months that it has screwed up. The first time it just wouldn't shut anything off and thia time it seems to be flipping am/pmb for specific outlets. I can't use this for my reptiles OR my plants like this. Honestly, I can't use it for anything. I'm going to contact the seller and see what they have to say about it. Very disheartened that it's buggy like this. I bought this and then didn't open it for a couple of months so I'm really glad it works so well. It's the only smart power strip with all plugs controlled individually and the ability to control the USB ports. However, the USB ports are controlled as one and that's the only let down. Would love to be able to control the USB ports separately and would really love to see an even larger smart strip to accommodate more plugs. I use these for reptile and plant setups and a couple more plugs would make it perfect. Still worthy of the 5 stars though.

This power strip was a great buy. I purchased it to reach an outlet behind a bed I cannot move. It was long enough that I could plug it in then bring it all the way to the other side of my bed and easily plug things in on my nightstand like a lamp I got for Christmas. It’s extremely easy to set up especially if you already have an existing Alexa or other compatible home device to link it to. My lamp is now on a timer to come on at a certain time everyday so my bedroom (which is massive) isn’t a dark obstacle course until I can reach any light source other than the big bright overhead light I despise. The USB and USB-C outlets are also a huge plus as I don’t have to use the electrical outlets for phone charging and can instead use those for my alarm clock and any other electronics I have close by. I also appreciate the plug as it’s angled and sleek and easily fits behind my bed without having to have a huge gap between the wall and my headboard like a traditional plug would cause. Super pleased.

I bought this smart power strip for my home office, and while it has some good features. Setup was straightforward, connecting it to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and linking it with Alexa worked without much trouble. Being able to control each outlet separately is useful, and the extra USB ports, including the fast-charge USB-C, are convenient for smaller devices. Day to day, it mostly works as expected. I can turn outlets on and off from the app or by voice, the build quality feels fine, and it helps keep my desk setup a bit tidier. That said, there are a few things I really don’t like. The app constantly pushes ads for other products, which gets annoying quickly. The notifications are also overly aggressive, sometimes with long vibration alerts that don’t feel necessary. I’ve noticed occasional delays when switching outlets, especially when the Wi-Fi signal isn’t strong. These issues don’t make it unusable, but they do take away from the overall experience, and in the end I had to turn off all the notifications. Overall, it does provide smart control and basic convenience, but the intrusive app and occasional reliability issues keep it from being something I’d rate higher.

This smart power outlet strip has extremely useful and versatile controls: You can turn the entire strip on and off; you have individual control of each of six 110V outlets and; you have control of one USB charging group consisting of 2xUSB-A and 1xUSB-C connections. This gives a total of eight controls. The plugs are arranged perpendicular to the length of the strip allowing as opposed to their ordinary parallel arrangement. This has some advantages and some disadvantages depending upon the actual devices used. Note that power adapters designed to install the "other way" with the standard arrangement do not work as intended and wind up blocking other outlets. Setup is very easy and akin to all devices compatible with gHome. (My control system is SmartLife and it fully recognizes the device with a matching graphic.) Each controlled event can be timed in any manner you choose. The strip has considerable mass and it does not remind me of material suitable for rough (like jobsite) handling. It is said to be usable with a toaster or other high-current device. Maximum total load is 15A and it would [seem] that each outlet carries the same rating. It is said to have surge and overload protection. The only user control is the power on-off switch which doubles as a software reset when pressed and held. There is no reset or similar button visible. Power usage can be monitored on an individual outlet basis. I find two shortcomings: It lacks UL certification. It is also a small power vampire. Electromechanical relays of the sort used in this power strip generally draw about ¾ watt each so with all outlets energized it is mostly likely drawing more than 5 watts. With all circuits available a smallish section of the case gets rather warm. In full standby it is allover cool to the touch.
