According to My Wife – Amazing Results (Even I Can See)!
Color: Black
It would be impossible for me to overstate just how thrilled my wife is with the ghd Hair straightener; she couldn’t be more excited with the results it gives her. If she were, there’d be a hole in the roof. Aside from results that had my wife hopping around the house bursting with incandescent animation, and I’m not exaggerating much, she went on about how deceptively simple the hair straightener is to use, considering what is in her opinion, an overwhelming outcome far exceeding her expectations; no matter how many adjectives I use to describe her child-like excitement, it couldn’t be too many. That said, even I could see striking before and after results from her use of the straightener, mainly as a glassy sheen to the straightened hair vs. unstraightened. My wife has long straight hair to begin with, however, the straightened section of hair was straighter, more organized and as mentioned, had an obvious sheen that the unstraightened section of hair didn’t. I was and am impressed that the results are so obvious. No doubt because the straightener uses adaptive technology to determine an optimal temperature on-the-fly and in real time, it doesn’t incorporate a manual temperature control, or any user settings for that matter, only a power button. Once the power button is engaged, a ring of pulsating light surrounds it, then turns solid when the straightener is ready to use, no doubt having reached a median operating temperature until it gets ahold of the user’s hair, then uses its big AI brain to reduce or increase the temperature according to its calculated determination. Whatever computational efforts it makes, it does so inside of a sleekly designed, ultra-modern form factor. The ghd hair appliance is lightweight, much lighter than the 20-year-old hair straightener my wife has been using, which by now has become rickety. On the other hand, as light as it is, the ghd one feels solid, clamps comfortably with little effort, and provides an ergonomic and comfortable grip in hand. Also, as the seller notes, unlike her old one, the power cord of the ghd device rotates out of the way as the straightener is being manipulated through the hair; when connected to power, a glowing ring of light encompasses the connection between straightener and cord. Additionally, as for the sellers claims of faster styling, my wife wholeheartedly found that assertion to be true – from when the power button was engaged, she had run the straightener through her entire head of hair in less than eight minutes; all done. And yes, it was noticeably shinier too. Apparently, so my wife says, there’s currently a hair trend referred to as ‘glass hair;” according to my wife, the ghd can give hair that look. As must be obvious now, my wife is very pleased with the performance and results she realizes with the ghd hair sculpting straightener. Would she recommend it? Obviously. What about the cost (that I find incomprehensible)? According to her, considering that she paid over $225 for her old one at least 20 years ago, she says its commensurate with its modern technology and performance, and not the least bit incomprehensible to her; as she always says, beauty isn’t cheap. Don’t I know it. As the seller notes, the hair straightener is supplied their “signature X premium noseguard;” I’m surprised that they couldn’t have at least supplied a nice storage case for, or a pouch even. The included picture divided by a vertical blue line shows a comparison between the ghd straightened hair on the right, with untreated hair to the left. ... show more

dont underestimate the size of this tool!!! it is powerfullllll
Color: Black
I have been waiting to try this one because I’m a HUGE ghd fan, and when I saw the new ghd Sculpt, I knew I had to get my hands on it. This is definitely a luxury hair tool at $449, but the second I opened the box, I could tell ghd did something completely different with this one. And it took me 5 min to do my daughters hair First of all, LOOK at the size of this thing! 😂 It is literally about the size of my hand — okay, maybe a little bigger, but you get my point. It is so sleek, compact and beautifully designed. Compared with some of the bigger straighteners I’ve used, this feels incredibly streamlined and easy to hold. And then I turned it on. THIS THING HEATS UP SO FAST. ghd says it reaches its optimal styling temperature in 20 seconds, and in actual use it feels like you barely have time to do anything before it’s ready. And let me tell you something else… it gets HOT. 😂 I have accidentally touched the wrong part of it a few times because it’s been a while since I’ve used a straightener that feels this hot and powerful. Obviously, you need to be careful with it, but the heat is definitely there. What makes this one so interesting is the new Heat-Adapt technology. Instead of me choosing a temperature and hoping I picked the right one, the Sculpt is designed to adapt the heat as I’m styling based on things like how much hair is between the plates, how quickly I’m moving and the styling conditions. ghd says the system takes thousands of measurements while you style. The plates are super slim, too. They have that waterfall-edge design, which makes getting close to the roots much easier, and they glide through the hair without that annoying snagging feeling. And YES, you can use this for more than straightening. The shape and slim plates make it really nice for creating waves and curls too. I love a straightener that can do both because I don’t want a drawer full of tools when one really good one can handle multiple styles. Another little detail I really appreciate is the attachment that comes with it for the tip. You can put it on the end to close the styler and keep it closed when you’re storing it. It’s such a simple thing, but I actually love it because it makes the tool feel more finished and makes putting it away easier. It also has universal voltage, an extra-long 8.8-foot swivel cord and an automatic sleep mode after 10 minutes, so ghd clearly thought about the practical details too. I will say, though, $449 is a LOT of money for a hair straightener. There is no getting around that. This is definitely a premium investment, and I would expect a lot from a tool at this price. The upside is that this doesn't feel like ghd simply put a new name on an old design. The Sculpt really does have a completely different design and its Heat-Adapt technology is the big reason this feels like a new generation of styling tool. I also looked at some of the early reviews because this is such a new launch, and the feedback is interesting. Other reviewers have specifically noticed how compact and lightweight it feels, how quickly it styles, and how well it handles waves and curls. There are also some users who have raised concerns about how hot the exterior and hair can feel, which is something I can understand given how hot this tool feels in my own hands. For me, the combination of the tiny, sleek design, incredibly fast heat-up, strong heat, slim plates and the ability to straighten AND curl is what makes this so exciting. This is one of those hair tools where I opened it and immediately thought, okay ghd… you really did something different here. If you love high-end hair tools and you style your hair regularly, this is definitely one I would put on your radar. Just know that at $449, you are paying for premium technology and design, so this isn't a casual “let me try another flat iron” purchase. Pros: Extremely sleek, compact design Literally about the size of my hand Heats up incredibly fast Gets seriously hot Heat-Adapt technology adjusts heat while styling Super-slim Infinity plates Great for straightening, waves and curls Glides smoothly without snagging 8.8-ft 360° swivel cord Universal voltage Automatic 10-minute sleep mode Comes with a tip attachment to keep it closed Feels like a completely new generation of ghd styling tool Cons: $449 is definitely a luxury price It gets HOT, so you really need to be careful around the plates and heated areas There are no manual temperature settings because the Heat-Adapt system controls the heat automatically Overall: This is easily one of the most interesting new hair tools I’ve tried. I love the compact design, the ridiculously fast heat-up and how much technology ghd packed into such a small tool. It feels like a premium piece of equipment rather than just another flat iron, and as someone who genuinely loves ghd, I’m very impressed with this new direction. ... show more

Shiny, Smooth, and Lasting Curls
Color: Black
Since the 90s. That is how long I have been straightening my 3B curls. Back when there wasn't a flat iron in sight and us teen girls actually used a real iron. My we have come a long way! I have tried several hair straighteners over my years but never really liked using one regularly. I blow dry my curls straight and then use a curling iron to smooth and curl the lower half of my strands. A flat iron always seemed like an extra step. P.us there was always that weird crimp it left near the roots and scalp that ruined the whole look. Now it's 2026 and I have gotten my hands on the GHD Sculpt Interactive Hair Straightener. Right out of the box I could tell this was different. I chose the black color which looks sleek and modern. This is a super slim design with heat-adaptive technology, meaning there is no need to guess what temperature you need to set it at, without all the heat damage. It has AI embedded that learns and adapts in real time to your personalized hair temperature. This comes with a noseguard, a cap, that fits on the end that protects the user and other items near it from heat after turning off before it cools. The swivel cord has a 360-degree turn so it never gets twisted or tangled, plus it's a long cord with plenty of leeway. It has one power button that light up when on, the device heats up quickly and beeps when ready. This can straighten and curl, a feature that really caught my eye. I like that it would take place of my curling iron. The first thing I noticed is how smoothly it ran down my strands. It glided through my hair and left it straight, sleek and shiny and with just a flick of my wrist I could bend it into a curl. This made my hair so shiny and so smooth! the curls lasted all day and even after sleeping on them they were still able to be seen the next morning! I again cannot get over how shiny my hair looks after using this! The quality of this hot tool is amazing, like all the other GHD tools I own. Well built to last. This is an investment so well worth the price considering it's like two hot tools in one. ... show more

Beautiful, gorgeous, fancy, but the price is crazy
Color: Black
Really nice… but would I spend $450 on it? Absolutely not!!!! I’ve actually tried a few different GHD products, and I’m honestly not usually a huge fan of the brand (I know people are probably like whattttt did she just say!?). I’m just not the type of person who spends a lot of money on high-end hair tools. My normal straightener is around $20, works perfectly fine, and I just can’t imagine spending $450 on a hair straightener. That is INSANE to me. That being said, this is definitely a really nice product. It feels luxurious, it’s beautiful, and it’s surprisingly lightweight, which I really like. Most straighteners I’ve used tend to be a little heavier, so this one feels really comfortable in my hand. The plates/blades also look really nice and almost have a subtle glittery effect to them. It definitely looks and feels like a high end product. It also has an interactive feature where the button lights up, which adds to that whole fancy feel. I’m excited to actually try it, but I’m definitely not thrilled enough to say I would ever go out and purchase one for $450. I truly believe most people could get away with a much cheaper straightener that works perfectly well, especially if you have shorter hair and don’t need a straightener for a ton of hair. If you’re someone who loves high end beauty products and doesn’t mind spending the money, then I can definitely see the appeal of this one. Out of all the GHD products I’ve tried, though, this is probably one of the ones I like the most. I’ve tried their hairdryer, their wave iron, and some of their other products. Their hairdryer was so heavy that I didn’t even like it the minute I picked it up. This one is completely different, it’s lightweight, beautiful, and feels really nice in your hand. So while I personally wouldn’t spend a 3rd of my mortgage payment on a straightener, I’m grateful I got to snag this. It’s definitely a luxury item. And especially like from other reviews, I see that it heats up like so well and probably wouldn’t cause damage on the hair like cheaper ones would, but again, if you’re only using it sparsely, I don’t see the need for this. If you’re a person that like straightens their hair every single day or like multiple times a week, that’s when I would more lean towards a high end straightener. ... show more

GHD Sculpt Flat Iron
Color: Black
I have worked in the high-end haircare industry for more than a decade, including both luxury retail and behind-the-scenes work in the manufacturing side of the business. I am not a licensed hairstylist, but I have extensive experience with professional haircare products, styling tools, extensions, and how these products are designed and made. I’ve also used professional-quality styling tools for many years, so I was very excited to put this one through a real-world test. After three uses, I am genuinely impressed with this flat iron. The heat-up time is incredible. It is ready to use in seconds. I could barely section off the top half of my hair before it was heated and ready to go. The glide is probably the first thing I noticed once I started using it. I have a lot of fine hair and it is heavily highlighted blonde, so I am very careful with heat styling and always use a thermal protectant. This glided through my hair like butter. No snagging, no pulling, and the plates moved through my hair incredibly smoothly. I also really like the design of the edges. I can get very close to my roots without feeling like I’m going to burn my forehead, which makes it much easier to get a really smooth finish. For my before-and-after photos, I blow-dried my hair in the morning, spent part of the day working outside, and then flat-ironed it in the afternoon. The results were dramatic. It straightened my hair extremely quickly and left it very smooth. I’ve also used it twice before work on extremely hot, humid days, and this is where I became even more impressed. My hair stayed remarkably straight throughout the day. Anyone with fine hair knows that getting it straight is one thing; keeping it straight in humidity is another. I also tested it on a small section of hair to see how it handled curling. I have never been particularly good at curling my hair with a flat iron, and my hair doesn’t naturally hold a curl very well. I was surprised by how easily I was able to create a curl with this. The rounded edges definitely made that technique easier for me. I only tested a small section, so I don’t have before-and-after photos for that part, but the result was very good. One thing I noticed with my very fine baby-blonde hairs is that because this tool gets hot and smooths so efficiently, some of those tiny hairs around my hairline can stand out a little more. That’s more of a personal observation with my hair than a flaw with the tool, but it is worth mentioning for anyone with very fine hair. Overall, this is an exceptionally well-designed and high-performing flat iron. It heats up incredibly quickly, glides beautifully without snagging, gets close to the roots, straightens hair very efficiently, and can also be used to create curls and waves. After three uses, I can absolutely see why this is positioned as a professional-level styling tool. As someone who has spent many years around high-end haircare and professional tools, I am genuinely impressed with how well this one performs. And yes, I am fully aware my hair needs a haircut. 😂 We are reviewing the flat iron today, not my split ends. (photos are unretouched in natural light, first pic is after using the GHD Sculpt, second pic is blow dried and after working outside for several hours) ... show more

Hands down best straightener I have ever used
Color: Black
WOW. Just wow. This ghd Sculpt Interactive Hair Straightener is the best hair straightener I have ever used. I'm honestly kind of blown away. I don't even know why this works so much better and faster to straighten my hair, but it apparently does it with less heat damage. How? I do not know. But I love it. I have fine, wavy hair but a lot of it, and it tends to frizz and get huge unless I air-dry it with product on it. This is a dream tool for me. This straightener is amazingly well-made. The design is kind of unique in that you do have apply some pressure to press the plates together. It apparently uses AI somehow to self-adapt to the temperature of my hair, so as not to overdo the heat. I have never seen a flat iron straighten hair this fast. I can speed it right down a section and voila, done. I don't have to slow-walk it to make it work well, and I don't have to repeat sections. This means I can get my hair straight in so much less time. It also works amazingly well for curl-styling. And it's really fast at that too. The curls and waves last and look amazing. Zero frizz, lots of shine. It also heats up really, really fast. It tells me when it's ready, which is literal seconds. The power button is on the inside, so I'm not constantly bumping it and accidentally turning it off. It's light, which is important for me because I have arthritis in one hand and can't really handle a heavy, large styling tool anymore. I seriously can't get over how good this straightener is. It's SO worth the buy. Just get it. You will not be disappointed. Wish Amazon let me leave more stars! ... show more

Damaged My Partner’s Hair!
Color: Black
My partner was very much looking forward to trying this ghd Sculpt Interactive Hair Straightener. She followed the instructions carefully, and came out of the bathroom after just a minute or two and asked, “Did this turn my hair yellow?” Horrifyingly, it did. You can see for yourself in the pictures with this review. She did not linger on any part of her hair at all. Her hair was washed with Pantene Pro-V shampoo, and conditioned with Pantene Pro-V conditioner and rinsed well, before drying thoroughly. So much for their “AI-POWERED HEAT ADAPT TECHNOLOGY...ZERO HEAT DAMAGE” promises. Frankly, we were just shocked. ... show more

Superior Straightener
Color: Black
This is definitely the nicest flat iron that I've ever owned. I've actually owned another ghd straightener (which I really like) but this one is even better. I had actually seen the brand teasing this on social media before it was even available to purchase and I was intrigued. What makes this particular Street and unique is that it has integrated AI technology that's supposed to constantly measure various characteristics of one's hair from the temperature to the amount of hair being styled to the time that any specific section of hair is being exposed to heat and the cumulative sum of all of that information cues the iron to adjust its temperature appropriately so that there's no heat damage to the hair. Therefore, it's not possible to manually adjust the temperature of the straightener; it's done automatically for you. The actual product design is also really cool because not only is it incredibly lightweight but it has a thin curved edge that makes it easy to get really close to the roots. I'm also really house plates are - - this glides over my hair like butter! Another thing that I love about ghd straighteners in general is that they heat up super fast. It's ready to go within seconds of turning it on. Yes, this is more expensive than a lot of other flat irons that are currently available but this one also has a totally different kind of AI technology that other irons don't have and I feel like their performance is superior to other straighteners that I've used. Definitely a splurge but if you don't mind investing in high-end hair tools (like I do) in order to really take care of your hair and make styling it easier, I definitely recommend this. ... show more
