Didn't really have high hopes for this. I mean, it's a brush. But WOW. Absolutely love it. So much easier than a straightener, for me anyway. Might get a little tricky if you have longer hair but for my length it's perfect. Regular straighteners usually leave my hair too flat (I probably just don't do it correctly lol) but my hair has the perfect amount of body using this brush. Definitely recommend! ... show more

Yaaaaaa'll! Buy this thing. Seriously, add it to your cart right now and check out. RIGHT NOW! I have never liked straightening my hair. It took way too long (upwards of 2 hours) the flat iron would get caught in my hair, I'd burn my scalp trying to get too close, it just was a hassle. I NEVER EVER had the patience to deal with this. I seen these all over and wanted to try it but changed my mind. Finally, it came around again and I gave in and purchased it! I'm so glad I did because what used to be 2+ hours was only 45mins and most of that was taking my hair down and detangling it from washing it! The actual straightening process was maybe 20 mins. Black woman or people with coarse hair, let's be honest, you wonder will it really work for US... I know I did! The answer is YES! That was the only thing that stopped me. I only seen thin hair with no real texture being pictured. This thing completely changed the straightening game. I read it wouldn't get to your roots but I found that if your pieces are small enough, I didn't have a problem. The square design really helps with that! I know they also make a round one. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get into the roots with that one, but the square for me made a huge difference. That's another thing! My pieces weren't even all that small! With a flat iron, you had to do mini sections. Like really mini! Only sectioned my hair down the middle and 6 sections on each side. That is what drastically cut the time down! It still ran through it and straightened my hair without having to do small parts (which I hated before) Y'all I'm so serious, buy this thing!!! I got this for my 7 year old daughter. She has multi-textured curly/wavy/straight hair and it's super thick and frizzy. I used it on 350 degrees (F) and it smoothed her hair out like butter in about 5 minutes. The next day a few of her curls came back, especially around her face where it was tricky to catch the short little "angel curls." Her hair was growing back to its Hermione-like frizz by the end of the second day, but she was still happy with it. I'll probably touch it up tomorrow before her next shampoo. She's been prancing around the house like the diva she is and putting sparkly clips in her locks bc she feels so pretty. I tried it on my naturally straight hair and it looks like I paid money for an expensive blowout. I definitely recommend and am so happy I didn't buy that $90 one that I see in all the Facebook ads. After having kids, the back of my hair ended up getting a crimp-like wave. It looked quite odd to have the sides of my hair be the normal straight look it always was and then have the back of my hair be wavy. I couldn't use my flat iron to fix it because I needed to get so close to my scalp to fix the issue that the edge of the iron would put a dent in my hair. I hated having to try and fix it with my hair dryer because the pull you need on the hairbrush to create straight hair was just too much for my arms and too time consuming, so it got super annoying super fast. So I gave in and just started using a 3/4 inch curling iron to try and give everything a more uniform look. Some times it looked fine but after awhile I was getting frustrated again. The other day as I was attempting my 100th internet search to see what other options I could find to help, I came across a blog that mentioned a hair straightener brush and I immediately started looking up ones on Amazon. I don't know why I had never heard of them before but regardless, I chose this one and after a few days of using it, I feel like I have my hair back!!! It's been 4 years that I have been searching for ways to help and finally something works! (I also bought the L'anza Healing Smooth Straightening Balm to use before drying my hair) I found that I need to use the brush on top and underneath the hair to get it nice and straight, and it only took a few times with each section of hair - super quick. I normally don't write reviews but feel so happy and grateful that this product exists! It's a great tool, very sturdy feeling, I like the look and color too. I’m allowing my hair to grow out and it is presently an inch below my ears. My hair is naturally wavy, thick and dry. As you can imagine, the “difficult” stage has not been easy. I purchased this after seeing a more expensive one highlighted on Facebook. The price was a third less. I had my doubts but the reviews were favorable. In summary, it does work! It’s quick, easy and I spend less time styling my hair. The proper heat setting for the type of hair you have seems to be the trick, but the unit has a setting that will lock and heat at the desired temperature once powered up. I have had for a month and I have no negative comments. I do use a leave in conditioner and I often allow my hair to dry naturally (oh boy!) overnight. At its worst, it takes less than 5 minutes to straighten and style my hair the next morning. I’m extremely pleased with how my hair feels and how my hair maintains the “style” one day later between washings. My hair seems healthier.
