As a construction contractor, I have loved this device since I got it and can't put it down. This thermal camera is a pro-grarde tool for anyone who needs more than just a simple heatmap. It combines a 240 by 240 thermal sensor with a 2 MP regular light camera, and it overlay the thermal data right onto real images so you can spot exactly where the hot and cold spots are instead of trying to guess from the heat map image. For me in construction, this is super helpful as it will show leaks behind the wall or missing insulation in the ceiling or faulty electrical switch which I have tried to show in my images. Cheaper models that feel laggy, this one gives a smooth, real-time view on its crisp 2.8-inch IPS screen, seems like it has high refresh rate. Color heat map adjusts for temperature, I prefer to make it fixed so I need to find out how to do that. It tracks the center, max, and min temps automatically, covering a range from -4°F up to 1022°F. You can set custom alarms so if something gets too hot or cold, you’ll know right away. That’s really handy when you’re checking elements in construction . It has three imaging modes and six color palettes, which is pretty cool. It’s easy to dial in the look you prefer. The 3500mAh built in battery lasts about eight hours. This thermal cam hits a sweet spot between perfomance and practicality, making it a solid pick for construction inspectors. It also comes in a very presentable box and packaging but no carrying case, I would prefer a cheaper cardboard box but get a carrying case with zipper instead so I hope they listen.

I purchased the GOYOJO GH192 (240×240) for general home inspection, HVAC checks, and electrical troubleshooting, and it has performed very well so far. The thermal resolution is genuinely usable. Temperature differences are clear and well-defined, making it easy to identify hot spots, insulation gaps, and airflow issues. The 25Hz refresh rate keeps the image smooth while scanning, which makes a noticeable difference compared to lower-refresh models. The fusion imaging feature is especially helpful. Overlaying the visual image with the thermal data makes it much easier to identify exactly what you are measuring, particularly when checking outlets, breaker panels, or wall cavities. Temperature readings have been consistent and repeatable in real-world use. I have used it to inspect HVAC vents, exterior walls, electronics, and electrical connections, and it has already helped identify areas that needed attention. Build quality is solid for the price.
