I’ve had trouble for years with heel slippage. I’ve tried quite a few boots off Amazon lately. Keens, Sureway, etc. This is the one that works for me. These boots have internal pads that suck in the heel and keep it in place. The boot material is pretty supple out of the box and full break in took about a week. It was never painful though, just more about the leather forming to your foot a bit better. I usually wear a 9.5 or 9.5W, this took a 10W for proper fit. I really love these boots. We’ll see how long the soles wear. They seem like they’ll go for a while, but I’ve never had flatter tread like this. ... show more

One of the best fitting boots that I own. I wore these boots for about three quarters of day one of receipt and fell in like with another pair of Georgia Boots. This boot comes from the Georgia Boot Co. 'Wedge' line up. I also own another Georgia 'Wedge' boot. The 8in. work boot. Also very nice. For those of you that are in need of a little more arch support, I would recommend to you the use of a 3/4 length slip in. As you may know, Georgia and Danner boots will not take a full length after market insole without taking hostages. They will cause restriction of your toe's and tightness in toe box. These boots are nicely lined and padded and are marked as waterproof. These boots utilize a full length memory foam insole with modest arch support. There is no sloppiness anywhere around the foot. No slipping on the heel. The Georgia Boot Co. heel locking system makes the boot feel like a part of your foot, and not just a boot that your foot happens to be in at the time. High marks indeed! The top of boot is well above the ankle joint giving great support to ankle movement. One of the very best "Likes" that I have about this little beauty, it is black. So tired of brown and earth tones. I have applied polish to these boots, so most of white thread is now black. Looks very nice. I'm seeing a price range of up to $160. or more for this boot. These are worth every penny of your comfort. I would buy this style of boot again. I am very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I literally been through a lot of the top brands and can say that these boots definitely stand up with them. I work all day on my feet 9-12 hours 7 days a week, up and down ladders, stairs, and on and off scissor lifts. They are comfortable right out of the box. I see comments about long break in periods but I didn’t go through any break in period. I always end up changing the soles in my other boots but with these I didn’t even need to touch them, I even take these soles out and put them into my other boots. I’m almost at a full year and they are still in great condition. Granted I do clean and oil my boots at least once a month. I loved these boots so much I purchased the brown pair and they were the same with no break in. I get a lot of complements on style and always recommend them. Especially for the price. ... show more

These boots were $90 used but not worn, so a really good deal compared to their original price. They have a really sturdy sole, super comfortable with no breaking in period that's painful or uncomfortable in any way, the sole is stiff but that's expected in a brand new boot with a solid sole. I'll have these for many years. ... show more

I use these for my asphalt job these are comfortable hold up to the heat well flat bottom that's stitched so don't fall apart functional and fit perfect and look good I usually go through 2 pairs a year depending on how much I have to get off the screed if we have a solid crew 1 pair lasts all year
