Purchased for use in business-casual setting. Despite being a “work” boot, does extremely well in the office too. Very comfortable. Great in situations where you walk long distances and might find classic style dress shoes just aren’t comfortable enough for that kind of task. Lightweight. Well built. Classic looks. Ez on/off. For context, I work in IT and not construction, and these boots rarely were used other than evenings and weekends. Disappointed to see the sole start to separate from the boot, as I spent a lot of time finding boots w/ a moccasin toe, were slip-on, and had lugged soles. I took a bet on Georgia Boot, even after seeing occasional reviews detailing the boots falling apart. Hard to believe - given the ease with which companies can mine product reviews & customer outcomes from Amazon, etc., that Georgia Boot is unaware of the quality issues, and that crappy quality is not actually a product/cost strategy, instead of an sporadic outcome of off-shored manufacturing. Time to double my budget for boot purchases and go w/ a U.S. manufacturer, at least I won't burn several hours every year trying to find a boot that won't fall apart after light use. ... show more

Right out of the box, great work boot. Comfortable, rugged and great looking too. They looked heavy when I first opened the box but they’re actually reasonably light. So far I’d say great value for the money. I’ll keep you posted on how they hold up.
