I’ve been using another Gemilai espresso machine the G3006 for quite a while and really liked it, so when this newer model came out, I didn’t hesitate to give it a try. So far, it’s been a solid upgrade. The G3028A machine feels well built and stable, and it’s clearly designed for people who want more control at home. Temperature and pressure feel consistent, and once you dial things in, the espresso quality is very good. I mostly drink espresso and milk based drinks, and it handles both well. The automatic frothing is convenient for everyday use, especially on busy mornings. It’s not a commercial café machine, but it offers many professional level features that are more than enough for serious home use. There is a bit of a learning curve if you like to fine tune your shots, but that’s expected and part of the process. Overall, I’m happy with the upgrade and would recommend it to home users who want something more advanced than an entry level machine.

I really wanted to love it but it doesn’t work properly. It’s like expecting espresso but getting watered down, no crème drip coffee. I’ve wasted so much coffee - good organic coffee. I even purchased the matching grinder and even wasted money purchasing grounded coffee - thinking maybe it was the grinder. Nope. The gauge doesn’t hit the espresso range. Yes, I tightened the knob and used the black disk. Making espresso shouldn’t be this difficult in a simple machine. Maybe I received a broken machine. All I know is that my cheap $300 one that I was replacing makes an excellent espresso with lots of crème. Back it goes and now I have to return the grinder also.

The media could not be loaded. TLDR: Highly recommended machine if you appreciate milk temperature probe as much as I do. I upgraded my setup from Delonghi ECP to Gemilai Ele. Machine is built like a tank and very stable. Provided accessories look and feel premium. It was a nice fit under my cabinets and most importantly wife liked and approved it. Coffee shots are very consistent with minimal efforts. I can place a scale and a full size cup under the clearance is great. None of the parts look cheap and everything feels great. Quirks there is no hot water outlet, and this has no water debit like 3007Z, but the milk temperature probe was more important for me. You can almost do hand free milk if you get the milk quantity right and place pitcher correctly. I think this is a great budget machine, provided the features, if that is not much of use then go for 3007Z instead.

I have had a Breville Barista Express for 8 years. It’s still going strong. Recently , I started roasting my own coffee. Leading me to want more control over pulling a shot to bring out more flavors. This espresso machine provides all of that at a pricing I can afford. The ability to set pre soaking and soaking time is wonderful for all roast profiles. As is the ability to control the water flow pressure as you’re pulling your shot. The same coffee, ground the same, can be adjusted to bring out different flavors. Another added benefit is the ability to adjust how hot the steam comes out of your frothing wand. As well as setting the end temperature of the milk. It will stop frothing when you reach the set temperature. You can also just turn that off. I keep it on because I love it. The portafilters and the tamper are all excellent quality. You receive a 2 year warranty. I wasn’t sure about buying an unknown brand. This brand is 20 years old , well known in China and Malaysia used in most households. This company is also the manufacturer of miicofffee espresso machines and another brand that I can not remember the name of. I highly recommend.

A great espresso machine with a BOILER. Many companies advertise dual boiler etc... but in fact they have thermoblocks, which is not the same. For the ultimate in temp control you really need at least 1 boiler. A very stable water temp makes a big difference so a boiler with PID is great. Everything is adjustable, water temp, steam temp, pressure, brewing time. The way to get great espresso is to dial in all these parameters along with good beans and grind fineness. If I had 1 con it would be basket. These are not the best, but you can buy a better basket since this is industry standard 58 mm.
