When I took it out of the box, I was impressed with how beautiful it was. Once I put it to use, I found it very useful. It took me an hour to chop wood and it was so easy. I am amazed that a large pile of wood can be completed in such a short time

This might be a good product for smaller diameter wood. Much of mine is 8+ inches. Even though I'm not particularly accurate swing a maul (or an axe), I can split wood more efficiently doing that.

You can jam the log onto it easily to start. But after pounding on the log multiple times I could not move the log past the angle braces. I used a 8 lb sledgehammer as well.
