Description

As fun as the days spent outdoors under the sun can be, they also expose you to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that could cause serious damage to your eyes. Gear District's Polarized Unisex Sunglasses are incredibly comfortable, stylish and offer you the protection necessary to prevent any damage and let’s you enjoy the sunny days without any worries. How Do Polarized Lenses Work? When light is reflected off a surface like water, snow, or glass, the light waves “polarize,” which means that they tend to orient themselves horizontally, producing harsh glare and causing eye strain. Gear District's polarized lenses reduce the brightness of the glare without making the field of vision dimmer. Our sunglasses block all three ranges of ultraviolet radiation: UVA, UVB and UVC and protect the human eye 100% from harmful effects of sun rays. The anti-fog coating prevents fogging of the lens in low temperatures. Who should wear Polarized Glasses? Anyone who works or rests in the sunshine will enjoy a clearer view and eliminate glare. Enjoy golf, baseball, football, tennis, skiing, cycling, running, fishing, volleyball, biking and motorcycle riding, as well as all outdoor sports activities without any discomfort. Perfect for driving as well due to glare reduction and can also be used by people who suffer from oversensitivity to sun rays. Ultimate Bundle: Microfiber Cloth – Cleans without scratching the lens or frame Soft Pouch – Great for carrying around in your bag Hard Case – Prevents any damage to the sunglasses, may also be attached to any backpack or bag Sun visor clip – Keep your sunglasses close- by and safe in your car Floating string – Never lose your sunglasses on land or water, Gear District's floating string will keep you sunglasses afloat ORDER YOUR POLARIZED SUNGLASSES NOW and Start Protecting Your Vision.

  • Ideal with masks when walking
Color: Red Lens Color: Mirror Red
I bought these sunglasses because of the anti fog label. With masks I fog up my other sunglasses, Raybans and generic cheapo ones. I thought buying these would be a good idea instead of trying out a myriad of anti fog sprays. Pros: they are pretty good at reducing fog. The lens fog up but with other glasses where I don't have any visibility these I can see pretty decently for 20 yards. I wouldn't want to drive wearing them with a mask on, but for going on walks in the neighborhood and seeing oncoming traffic it's fine. They defog quickly when I take my mask off. I was hoping it would truly no fog on the lenses but compared to other sunglasses it's like a world of difference. Cons: They seem to be made of flimsy or cheap material, so I am careful in folding it up and putting them away. They do come with a soft cloth bag but also a hard cover case. (Pro to this con) so it was easy to take steps to avoid accidentally breaking them. I recommend this to people who have to wear masks but also want sunglasses. I haven't found anything better yet. ... show more

  • Liked First Pair, Got Second Back Up
Nice all-in-one package. One stop for all accessories and a good pair of sunglasses. This is my second pair. Still have the first pair and they work great. I got this pair for back up and travel outside the car. The great deal is why I bought my first pair, for a vacation, and then became my main pair of sunglasses when another brand I had eventually broke. Several years later, still using the first pair and now using the second pair as needed. They are dark and light weight. Now that I have two sets of accessories that came with the glasses, I have a back of those two, and extra hard case for what ever I may need it for. If I ever need a third pair, of if these do break at some point, I'd quickly by another Gear District set. ... show more

  • anti fog doesn't work
My set must have missed the anti-fog step as they fog up every time I use them.

  • Good enough for multiple purchases
I just received my fourth pair. First pair broke during routine handling in its first week. No problem, just returned and received a credit. But on the same day I initiated a return, the company contacted me to check on the problem...they insisted on sending me a free pair without being prompted (had already received credit from Amazon). After a few years the second pair was lost, replaced with same pair. A few years later the third pair was dropped and arm (temple) was broken. No need to look any further, just ordered the same pair again. These are probably the best sunglasses around for under $20. Just be aware they are lightweight and are wraparounds, which means they will not lay flat in your pocket. But included case gives full protection. Obviously better than average customer service. ... show more

  • My husband love the shape, fit, style, etc.
Works, looks really good, fights tight around the eyes and keeps out wind and blowing dust. I wish the came in a clear color (like safety glasses).

  • OK, but mine were defective.
The blue lenses were not quite dark enough for my tastes. The wrap around coverage was decent, but a little short for me and my peripheral vision. While they were short on my peripheral vision, there were better that another pair that I have where I could see the frame in the corners that blocked my vision somewhat like the front window frame in cars where it creates a blind spot. These seemed to have less of a solid feel compared to a couple other pairs I have tried. They were decent overall. However, my lenses had what appear to be a manufacturing defect. Looking into light, or looking into less light, it appears some sort of coating had pooled, giving the viewing appearance of looking at glare, regardless of the light level. The effect was like some prescription glasses I one had that were coated, and I made the mistake of leaving them in a hot car lenses down, and the coating sort of pooled in the middle (Costco fixed them for free!). Those had an even distortion, while these had uneven distortions. The issue here happened right out of the box. I was able to return them without issue to a Kohl's, no box required. ... show more

  • Updated!, Great Service Seller was quick to address the issues. Updated review from 1 to 5 stars.
For the price I thought these would be decent glasses. I am pretty hard on sunglasses so I have a hard time spending too much on them. as long as they are polarized and are wide enough to fit my large melon I am happy. The advertised width of the frame should have fit me well as I have another brand of the same width and they fit great. The included case and visor clip is nice but when I put them on for the first time they seemed a little tight, they did cut the glare quite a bit when I wore them outside. When I looked closer I could see that the right hand side of the frame doesn't allow the bow to open all the way, the left side is good, consequently they are only 130mm at the widest point. Maybe just a bad pair? I will try for a replacement in hopes that this was a fluke. UPDATE: Great Customer Service! Seller sent me two replacement pairs after hearing about my bad experience. Both replacement pair were straight and fit well. no complaints. They told me not to worry about sending back the first pair. I used to design plastic components for a living so I thought that the frame may have been damaged when it was coming out of the mold. I used a heat gun on the frame and it relaxed the stress on the deformed part and now it is near normal condition, not only do I have two new pair but I have a third that I can leave in my work truck as a spare. I would definitely buy from them again. ... show more
