  • Awesome company, unbelievable customer service...
Size: Photon Mono M7 Pro
Never actually review any products ever, however I feel this product deserves one. It's a good printer, the details are better than anything you're going to get from an FDM printer by far. I have 7 FDM printers, a couple that are the expensive, all the bells and whistle type printers and the quality and resolution from my ANYCUBIC is superior in every way. The real reason I am writing this review though is the customer service. 8 months of printing and the screen developt a pretty serious flaw. The screen had a line on it where the uv light would not shut off. It ruined the prints because it was curing resin where it shouldn't. I contacted customer support explaining the issue and in less than 8 hours they sent an email telling me they were sending me a new screen free of charge. The next day I got a tracking number and within 5 days I had the screen. Customer service like that is the exception and not the norm. I will absolutely buy the latest and greatest products from ANYCUBIC far into the future if this is how they treat their customers. ... show more

So much of an upgrade from my $100 Anycubic photon mono 2! very large printing area. way faster printing times. less errors. the wifi ability to print from my pc or phone rather than saving onto a zipdrive and plugging it in is a game changer! resin warmer and the pump for cleaning/filling works great if you use plumbers tape on the bottle threads. this is such a features upgrade from the basic anycubic model i owned! only issue is the top cover is a little heavy and bulky to take on and off. amazing printer! ... show more

It is relatively easy to use but the resin auto feeder never worked since I received the product. When I notified the product support team, they worked with me to resolve the situation.

  • I’m done with Anycubic
Size: Photon Mono M7 Pro
Im just going to lay it out… Anycubic is only good for a short time. Maybe a few months. Maybe a year. But they all end up the same. Broken parts Bad firmware Bad software Frustrating UI I’ve kept purchasing from them because out of the box they really are an excellent product. For the hobbyist, this might be just the printer for you. Something to print an idea or two here and there and that’s the end of it. I, however, mass produce 3D prints. The print quality has never been an issue. They are highly detailed and I’m using water wash resin and I still get the most minute details. But here’s the problem, the failure rate of the machines stands at 100%. On this particular model, the M7 pro, the print bed gear is now broken because the software made it think it was several mm’s higher than it actually was. So when I was leveling it was ramming the build plate onto the printing surface. There’s also no way to factory reset these to start from scratch and go again. Another problem is the random errors. Residue detected Print bed not installed No resin in tank Heating irregularities But when you stop the process or ignore the issue and start over, the warnings disappear and the print goes on about its business. I bought the M7 to replace my M5s which I’d hoped I could rely on as a backup and that one is still giving me issues where the slice file suffix doesn’t match the machine and I’m using the included Photon Workshop software. Getting to customer service is practically impossible because they’re in China and the time and language barrier results in no help. I’ve given these machines 5 stars in the past because I thought they were the bees knees. Now I have to give them 1 because they’re not worth the cost of replacing twice a year. That being said, if I’m to get another machine then I’ll be opting for another brand and I won’t be giving Anycubic a 4th or 5th chance. ... show more

  • Ignore the print speed, it is a trap
Size: Photon Mono M7 Pro
I've been printing almost constantly and heavily on my M3 Plus for about 3-4 years now, and had 0 issues with it while performing proper maintenance. Last weekend, my FEP tore, and resin cured to my screen. I bit the bullet and got the M7 pro. The packaging is very nice, the printer is larger than my M3 (significantly), and overall the build quality seemed better. I got it setup, set my slicer settings (Chitubox), and printed a few cones of calibration to see how if I could get it dialed in quickly. After 3 cones of calibration, I thought it was ready and perfectly dialed in with my ABS-like 3.0 HD grey resin (my favorite for miniature printing), and proceeded to load up a build plate, and threw them in to print. First I put them into a folder on the USB stick provided, and couldn't find them... for some odd reason, this "better" printer can't read folders; that is a huge flaw in my eyes. With a fresh batch of resin, a clean build plate, I went to print. The M7 immediately throws an error saying the vat is blocked or something like that. I check the vat, do a UV flash "clear out" scrape the resin and double check it... there is nothing there. Proceed with the print, it goes as planned, but seemingly far faster than I had it set... The print finishes in 2.5 hours, and every single mini is a failure, but where it did not fail, the detail is superb. I adjust my settings, and do 5 more batches of minis... All a failure. I check the frequency on the FEP using an audio app, and it seems far too tight, so I adjust my settings in Chitubox for a 6 second light off delay. Now, my M3 prints flawlessly and quickly with a 2s light off delay, this now takes 3x as long on the M7 which boasts higher speeds. As in most 3d printing, higher speed = a trap. Also, in every single one of those 5 prints I did, after clearing the vat and cleaning the tray, I got the same error regarding the vat. I just bypassed it and kept on printing any way with no issue other than the print failurses, but that was due primarily due to the light off delay. I now have it 100% dialed in, and it prints .05 as fast as my M3 prints .02, but at equal quality. I guess I will call that a win? The printer is not without its flaws, and I'd highly recommend a M3 over the M7 due to price. The interface and extra bells/whistles on the M7 just seem to get in the way more than anything. I am dreading replacing the FEP on the M7, due to the heating element, but I bet that will allow me to reduce my light off delay back to 2s because I won't install it too tight (check out the gatorade cap method) and it will allow me to keep printing with ABS 3.0, albeit slightly faster? Also, the UI for the M7 is miserable and unresponsive. What happened to the translucent yellow cover from the M3!? At least I could see a failure far sooner than the M7 super dark cover! Also, the vat is huge and heavy, and the build plate always drips when being removed. If you let resin drip down the side of the vat, and get onto your covered or uncovered LED, goodbye printer (or scrape it like a surgeon for 4 hours like I did on my M3). So many minor design flaws that just add up to frustrating experience with a superb result. All in all, it is an expensive machine that can print well once you dial it in. I wouldn't recommend for a first timer unless you're going to use a more rigid resin or a high speed resin. But I like my stuff not to shatter immediately, so I don't do that. I'll do a test with Texture resin tomorrow when it arrives. Extra Tips: -Buy extra LCD screen protectors! I was able to fix my M3 and now have 3 printers going ham on a 4k point army. -Buy the magnet + steel plate! I have this on my M3 and M7. The M7 build plate is kind of a disaster out of the box. Sure, it looks nice, but the minute you go to get minis off, you will see raw aluminum, no matter how careful you are. -Increase the light off delay; reduce lift speed. I don't care what you're printing, this will give you more consistency and far less frustration. Included my settings in a screen shot for ABS like 3.0 grey. I hope this helps to save you some time dialing it in. The exposure could likely be dropped down to 1.2s. ... show more

Amazing resin printer! Definitely is exceptional for the beginner to moderate use and as long as you take care of it it'll take care of you.
