Such a big bulb. If you are looking to expose the bulb and need it for the vibe, then this is for you. If you are looking to put this in a lamp or need it as the primary light in your room, then you should look for something else. It has been amazing and I have loved it. But it arrived very dusty and can't get the fingerprints off it (from when I unpacked it). Hence, it looks very bad up close. But who tf goes and stares at bulbs up close.... ... show more

At 250 lumens it is less bright than the 280 lumens of the Xtricity version, even though GE claims their bulb replaces 60w and the xtricity bulb states a 40w equivalent. This is also 2w lower than the 7w xtricity bulb. I do wish these had an un-tinted option. I dropped a star because the amazon selection is for clear glass, not Amber. It’s similar in appearance to The xtricity bulb except this one has 5 spirals and Xtricity has 4. Unfortunately neither is as good of a look as the original incandescent g40 spiral bulbs that I want to replace. The incandescent has 8 spirals. I will probably go with this GE bulb since it has an extra spiral. ... show more

Lots of LED vintage bulbs have straight LED elements. Those just don't have the look and ambiance that I was looking for. When lit at 100% they are just a bright blast of light. These look great, get a lot of positive visitor comments and questions. These look great at any dimmer setting. These are best in a fixture where the filament is visible. I also like the clear glass version best. The work and dim nicely with Alexa and Kasa App light switches. Would give five stars if the price was a bit lower. Performance is five star. ... show more

Bulb looks awesome with the lamp but it has a ton of scratches on the bulb! It works but it takes away from the bulb as being part of the decor. I would purchase this in person not through Amazon.
