Description

Enjoy powerful, quiet cooling without blocking your window view with the GE Profile ClearView Inverter Window Air Conditioner. This 10,300 BTU window AC cools rooms up to 450 sq ft and sits below the window sill, so you keep more natural light and can still open and close the window after installation. It fits windows 20" to 40" wide with a minimum opening height of 13" and at least 10" from the floor. Advanced inverter technology adjusts compressor speed to deliver smooth, efficient cooling with less noise and fewer temperature swings. It is up to 34% more efficient than a DOE minimum efficiency model of comparable capacity, and with sound levels as low as 40 dB, it is ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, living rooms, and home offices. GE Profile is also recognized as the Quietest Window Air Conditioner Brand in the United States. The industry-exclusive flex-depth design adjusts to fit wall thicknesses from 4.5" to 13.75", making it a strong solution for deep sills, thick walls, brick homes, older homes, and other non-standard window openings. This unit installs in a double-hung window with the included window kit and requires no mounting bracket, subject to local code approval. This Energy Star certified smart air conditioner offers four modes and three fan speeds for flexible comfort. Built-in WiFi with the SmartHQ app lets you monitor, schedule, and control the unit from anywhere, track energy usage, and set geolocation. It also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and includes electronic controls plus a remote. Additional features include power interruption restart, a 24-hour on/off timer, and a removable filter for easy cleaning. Based on average sound ratings by brand of 5K-24K BTU window ACs from publicly available information, compared to 74% of products in the US window AC category per Traqline 9/21.

  • Quiet, Efficient, and Keeps the Room Cool Quiet, Efficient, and Keeps the Room Cool
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
This GE Profile inverter window AC has been a huge upgrade over a traditional window unit. The inverter compressor makes a noticeable difference — it cools the room quickly while staying much quieter than older ACs I’ve owned. Once the target temperature is reached, it maintains it smoothly instead of constantly blasting on and off. The ClearView design is also nice because it doesn’t block as much of the window or natural light compared to standard units. Installation took a little time because of the size and weight, but the instructions were straightforward overall. I’ve also noticed lower noise during sleep and better energy efficiency during long Florida heat days. Wi-Fi/app controls are convenient for adjusting settings remotely or setting schedules. If you want a modern window AC that’s quieter, more efficient, and feels more premium than the average unit, this one has been worth it. ... show more

  • lasted less than 26 days :(
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
Must have got a bad one, bought it June 30th, July 25th it quit. Was excited to get this unit. It takes longer to install than a regular window unit, but I was excited to be able to open the window on cool days. It ran great, was quiet, and cooled nicely. After a couple of weeks, I noticed it was noisier than normal, and it then shut off with a P1 error. looked it up and it said empty inside tray its full of water. opened the plug and water poured out. Started the air it ran a about 15 min then it shut off same code again. Same thing full of water, it was staying inside, not pumping to the outside. Unplugged it waited a a couple of hrs, plugged back in, ran a bit, then same issue again, tried all the suggestions in troubleshooting. The pump must have quit. ended up returning it. I really liked it until the issue. ... show more

  • Quiet machine and worth every penny.
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
A few things that may help others when making this decision to buy a Clearview AC 1. I noticed that a few people have referenced the small barely visible light flashing near the filter vent screen and thinking that the unit is defective. This light will illuminate and flash if your wifi connection fails or if the unit is not connected to your network. You must download the SmartHQ app and allow your network to connect to your air conditioner and after you connect, the light will go out. 2. Noise and vibration. After you have installed your new ac, you may notice noise outside. This is purposeful and the noise isn’t crazy loud at all. It is on par with an average window ac unit. A couple of things to consider about the vibration. After installing the ac and tightening up the built in clamps, you can expect to have vibration if you are installing the ac in a house that has vinyl siding or possibly even stucco. Consider installing a piece of rubber under the adjustable stabilizer screws where the foot of the clamp meets your home’s exterior. A great source of rubber would be from a bicycle tire tube. Cut a 4-6 inch section of the tube and fold it over a few times and place under the clamp foot. The clamp foot is about the size of a quarter and by folding the section of rubber over a few times, you have just created a dampener that will absorb and eliminate any vibration and it will be small enough to barely see unless you are looking for it. A tube for a bicycle or tricycle can be had for a few dollars. It doesn’t have to be big or does it doesn’t have to be perfect. As far as the performance of the 10,300 btu clear view ac, it is ultra quiet and very efficient. It cools quicker than the non inverter models. The air is ice cold and will adjust to 64 degrees F. I am extremely satisfied with my choice in this unit as it does everything you would want and expect in an air conditioner. Going with the inverter equipped model was smart. It will save you money and it will not cost you in the way of performance. By choosing the inverter model, there won’t be any surges when the ac begins to cycle. This means that there won’t be issues with your new ac tripping a breaker if you plug in a vacuum cleaner. The thing is a beast. If I had to buy it again, I would. Easy 5 stars. *Buy the bicycle tube or a mud flap and use it if you have siding outside. You will thank me. Also, if the unit has been placed on its side or upside down for any reason, delivery etc., please turn the unit upright for at least 30 minutes to allow the oils to seep back down onto the parts that need to be lubricated. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Much better than the non-inverter model.
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
After having bought the non-inverter model of this a/c I complained to GE about its lousy performance and they generously refunded my money. I then purchased the inverter clearview a/c. It is a much refined unit. Much quieter and actually cools pretty well although there is a trick to keeping your room cool the complete night. What I do is program the temperature to drop a degree every two hours and that seems to keep it relatively stable. I just can’t understand why they program an a/c to have a 3-4 degree swing with a digital temp control. This should be adjustable. ... show more

  • Like a precious stone in our bedroom
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
That is a very smart engineering design. The unit sits on the wall, do not need extra support to hold it in position. When you properly installed, the unit operates silent. Proper installation is required for silent operation.

  • Not worth the money
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
I do not recommend this A/C. I have another brand of U inverter A/C (starts with M) and it performs much better and was cheaper. This A/C is pretty noisy on the high setting, which is the only setting on which it will actually cool the space. If any other setting is used, it is much more quiet, but it turns off prematurely and never reaches the set temperature. The actual temperature on any setting other than "high" is several degrees higher than the set temperature. The A/C does not have physical buttons -- you touch the hard plastic case instead. If you reach for anything and brush against the A/C, the buttons are accidentally activated. They do not feel responsive and I do not have confidence that they will work long-term. You have to press the on/off switch twice every single time you use it. The included remote control has no LED screen, is cheap plastic, and you cannot tell what option has been selected when you press a button. E.g., you press the "mode" button to scroll through the modes, but you have to guess which mode has actually been selected. The other A/C I mentioned above has an LED screen and you can see which option you have selected. Amazon shipped this item with some of the installation materials missing. I had to obtain them directly from GE. To GE's credit, they did ship me a new set. They get one additional star for good customer service. I have not tried to connect the WiFi. I do not yet know whether it is as energy efficient as it is supposed to be. I have purchased several GE large appliances in the past, and they mostly held up well. GE appliances purchased in the past few years have not performed as well. Message to GE: You need to deliver quality for your higher price or else your competition will get my business. ... show more

  • Quiet, efficient, and keeps the window open
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
Really wonderful window AC, a huge improvement over the floor standing portable unit I’ve been using for years. The unit itself is extremely quiet since all the noisy bits are outside, it can make a bit of a racket shaking the window and nearby objects though. You’ll find windowsill vibrations you never knew you had. Also extremely energy efficient, I saved about $20/month in the summer vs the old portable AC unit. Compressor, interior fan, and exterior fan are also electronically variable speed, and the unit can control each one to maximize efficiency. Also has some extra efficiency boosting functions like splashing drain water over the exterior coil. Very easy to install, no mounting brackets at all since it just straddles the windowsill. It is pretty heavy though, and somewhat awkwardly sized (most of the weight is on the end that sits outside). It can be taken in and out by one person if they’re in decent shape, but two people makes it a lot easier to avoid hurting yourself. ... show more

  • I was so hopeful
Size: 10300 BTU Style: Inverter Color: White
I have a lot of air conditioner problems. I hate central a/cs because I have to depend on an a/c repairman if it breaks down and the cost of repair for me is always astronomical. I hate wall units because they block views and whenever I evacuate during hurricane season I worry about a hurricane ripping them out of my windows while I am gone. I hate hate hate HATE portable air conditioners because of the hose falling out again and again out of both sides and using dozens of dollars of duct tape to seal those and get the vent panels in the windows and sealed and draining in 2 places and cleaning filters is not something to look forward to either because it's hard to get to them and not worry about falling on the fragile hose as I am cleaning/draining and oooooh I just hate them! So I was so hopeful with this one, this this GE Profile Clearview thing. It is easy to install, easy to put in the foam side panels (superhard cutting them to fit, though) , feels secure in the window, taking the cover off to clean is easy, the drain cap is easy. And for the first time in years my home felt truly cool in 95 degree Florida heat. But today I wake up, and it shuts off and is flashing P1. It's not coming back on. I've drained it, cleaned it. It's too late to return it. I am brokenhearted. Really. I think I need to just move to Alaska so I don't have to worry about air conditioning ever again. ... show more
