Great Replacement Filter, Easy to Find!
Style: FXUTC
Wow, the GE FXUTC Drinking Water System Replacement Filter is awesome! I've been using this filter for years, and let me tell you, it's a lifesaver. I originally bought the water system at Home Depot, but finding replacement filters has been a bit tricky. Luckily, once I discovered this filter, all my worries disappeared. Replacing the filter is a piece of cake. No complicated stuff, no fancy tools needed. Just pop out the old one and put in the new filter. It's super easy, even for someone like me who's not a DIY expert. The best part? This replacement filter does its job like a boss. It takes out all the bad stuff from the water, leaving it clean and tasty. I feel confident knowing my family is drinking safe, healthy water. Speaking of convenience, this filter lasts a long time. That means fewer trips to the store and more money saved. Trust me, I've tried other filters, but this one is hands down the best. So, if you're struggling to find replacement filters for your Home Depot water system, look no further. The GE FXUTC Drinking Water System Replacement Filter is a game-changer. Easy to find, easy to use, and it keeps your water in tip-top shape. Give it a shot, and you won't be disappointed!

Excellent but pricey
Style: FXUTC
Update: 1-6-15 I have this piped to a dedicated faucet on my sink for drinking and cooking pasta and the like so it lasts a long time. I change it every six months regardless to avoid bacteria build-up. When I got to this page, I saw this old review of mine. The price seemed high and after reading reviews from the rest of you guys, I went to my email where I save all of my Amazon receipts and discovered that in May of 2013 I paid 15 dollars for this same filter. Purchased two and got free shipping to boot. I found a comparable .5 micron filter on Amazon and I'll be purchasing these instead at 13.14 each. I'm sure the taste will be excellent. Go here: http://www.amazon.com/Pentek-CBC-10-Carbon-Filter-Cartridge/dp/B000UQPONM/ref=pd_sim_k_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0SS0RM4S6RC0QKRQ16BX Original Review: I used to have a job monitoring particle filtration. You can't beat this filter for the money. My water tastes great. It removed the chlorine taste and smell. Our water is safe to drink in my town so I don't need super micro filtration for organisms, lead or other contaminants. But the back of the label states this unit filters down to .5 microns which is as good as many high-priced filters out there(not 5 microns like most cheapo filters). This filter does the trick and the volume is good too. It doesn't restrict water flow hardly at all. People who buy spring water or filtered water at the store are spending hundreds of dollars a year when all they need is a filter like this one. I could put this water into a Poland Spring bottle and no one would be the wiser. My "spring" water costs a couple of cents per gallon. I have it piped into my fridge as well for my ice maker. Write the expiration date on the label and tape it to your filter housing. Replace at 6 months or earlier depending on flow.

Clean water winner
Style: FXUVC
My city water is very hard and tastes terrible. My I tried just a charcoal filter and had better water flow but was bothered by all of the other contaminants such as cysts let in the water. So tried this filter which will filter out more of the contaminants. A relative installs it for me and he has a little more trouble installing it than the other one I used. The water tastes so much better and the filter lasts 6 months or a little over for me. Perfect for drinking, cooking, and for my pet. It does decease the cold water flow, but I am used to it The posit aspects win out over the flow rate. This is my fourth order.
