We bought this when our older pot died suddenly. We got it on sale at the time to serve as an interim pot, until our Braun replacement ( as per warranty) arrived. That was a year ago and we do love this pot. It looks great on the countertop and it faithfully brews great tasting coffee. Easy to use and clean. The clock is useless, as are most…can’t see the numbers, and it’s not the right time. But, we have clocks on our stove, microwave, walls, wrists , TV….so that’s not an issue. ... show more

There are several features that set this apart from others. First, the design of the carafe allows water to be poured without spilling down the front. This is a major improvement on the standard style that seem to require a specialized technique to use without spilling. The second thing we noticed right away is the lack of coffee grounds at the bottom of the carafe after each use. The bold setting makes for even more delicious tasting coffee. I got this to put behind the front desk so it needed to look professional and be easy to clean. It's been a couple weeks of heavy use and it still doesn't drip when you pour the coffee. Occasionally I'll get a drip or two onto the hotplate when I remove the carafe, but it doesn't happen all the time. This coffee maker is great it comes with a timer to setting up your coffee for whenever you want it. I prepare it at night and put it to brew a 5:30am so when I wake up at 6am it’s all done. And you could set it to make it bold.
