I'm very pleased with the HOODELL GCV160 Air Filter Tune Up Kit! This kit had everything I needed to service my Honda lawn mower (GCV160 engine). The air filter and spark plug were perfect replacements. My mower started right up and is running much smoother now. It's a great value and makes routine maintenance simple. If you need to tune up your compatible Honda engine, this kit is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

Everything works well in this kit, with a couple of small caveats. 1) the springs are weaker than OEM, which will give a more crude throttle response, and 2) the fuel filter clamps must be reshaped a little tighter prior to installation for a proper hold on the fuel line. This is not to say that this kit is bad, because it is not! I am just pointing out some of the small idiosyncracies you'll likely encounter when installing the parts in this tune up kit. Overall, this kit is an exceptional value for what you are getting, and products work well. I Will update this review at a later time, should something go awry. That said, I do not expect any issues from these components. For the price paid, it is a no brainer to update these parts at the beginning of every mower season. You should be doing this anyway!

This was purchased for my pressure washer that had a Honda motor on it needing a new air filter and spark plug. Very nice it came with a pre-filter which I wish would’ve been on it when I got it brand new because that would’ve definitely saved the main filter from getting dirty. When I purchased it, I didn’t realize it came in a fuel filter and clamped which was nice and surprised me that Honda did not put a fuel filter on it with them always putting a shut off valve. I know for a fact, Amazon sells these types of funnels, along with what they call carburetor compliant fuel cans. I learned how to repair small motors many years ago and they are beyond simple and they’re ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS a clogged up dirty carburetor. The gas cans they do sell have a screen filter in it made a plastic, but it is not fine. Yes it’ll stop a rock or something large but not a bug sand or anything like that. Remember when you go to the gas station to get fuel the tanks that it is stored in or in the ground and when it rain or anything, where does bugs and everything go inside those storage tanks. Yes they do have filters, but I do not think they have the best ones because of this. If you never want your carburetor to get plugged up, Amazon does sell these small funnels that have a very fine screen filter and I mean fine. Get a gallon of gas and use it every time you fuel something up and you will not believe what the screen filter captured. It can be so bad sometimes you have to tap it or take something and get all the card off the screen with how fine it is. Then think of all that crud that would’ve went through the carburetor or fuel injector that could’ve plugged it up, but it was in that fine screen, and you removed it Trust me look on Amazon they’re on here. I purchased them and it’s a very fine screen filter funnel and I guarantee you other than if you have to premix which should be drained. You will not have a clogged up dirty carburetor and have to get it serviced.
